I wonder if she would have tackled the bankers with the same enthusiasm as she showed, with the unions,if she had been PM now, over their exorbitant salaries and bonuses that they award themselves through their cosy little awards committees? -

There are a lot of typical right wingers on this Forum also-and not letting hard facts get in the way of an opportunity to slag the council. Penistone 999 for one. -

can`t imagine bankers voting labour. would be just as daft as someone on a minimum wage voting Tory. -

I bet that whoever the council leader was they would be drawing the same flack. It`s what these posters get their kicks from-slagging off the council. -

Do you mean the "Egg Box" which everyone hated until it was demolished, then everybody decided they liked it after all. -

Good to see someone putting the other side of the picture so well, and challenging that Penistone torys` extremist views. He also has a look of that other tory fanatic Jeremy Clarkson, well known for his "moderate opinions". Probably his hero. -
If the management were doing their job, they should be aware of this problem, but they probably dont want to take the necassery action against this person. It`s a disgrace and should not be tolerated

all the anti-council posters on this site should have a look at Croyden for instance. All the same moans as you lot plus some and Tory led. -

Nice to see something positive for a change on this subject. -
yes they were a Ford dealer but cant remember the year the finished. Early sixties I would guess.

How would you suggest the police should have managed them-apart from delaying the kick off. With the huge crush outside of the gates the kick off should have been put back half an hour, otherwise a major incident would have occurred regardless.

No, Only trying to put the other side of the argument-which seems sadly lacking. -

I would like to bet that the same council slagging arguments are being deployed on the forums of all these other cities that are constantly being held up as paragons of well run councils. In any case this Meadowhall v.City centre argument will more than likely not matter in 10/20 years time as internet shopping will have made both areas redundant for shopping.
