  1. Great to hear that Ollys beers are going down so well. http://www.toolmakersbrewery.co.uk - website currently in development https://twitter.com/toolmbrewery is their twitter page And yes, Commercial still very busy after the Wetherspoons opened.
  2. I'm running Falken FK-452's on my RX8 which are mid-range and perform well in the wet. I bought them online at http://www.blackcircles.com then had HiQ at Leppings Lane, Hillsborough fit them for me!
  3. Not everyone, I quite happily sat there without a coat on, the beer being consumed formed enough of a coat. At least you got a good 4 hours of drinking in before succumbing to the cold temperatures
  4. Called in last night and was very impressed. The Sierra Nevada on draught is fantastic! I live in Chapeltown and will now be considering this a new "local" for me, only 12 minutes on a train!
  5. Wentworth WPA (Woppa) is on particularly good form at the Commercial in Chapeltown at the minute!
  6. Great news, the S35 area has been in need of another real ale pub for ages. Should provide The Commercial with some much needed competition! Regarding the Champion of Champions Beer Festival at The Commercial, come along and show your support as Paul the Landlord has gone to get great lengths, quite literally driving up and down the country collecting barrels, to get the festival off the ground!
  7. I had a beer the other day called Barnsley Better made by the Barnsley Beer Company. Anybody know anything about them?
  8. This thread is a blast from the past isnt it! Dont forget the other Sheffield microbrewery producing consistent, high-quality real ale, White Rose Brewery. Their Original Blonde and Honey Blonde are brilliant. The Brew Company as well are knocking out some fantastic ales. Slaker Pale is a favourite of mine!
  9. What makes you say that? Did you have a bad experience? Let me know the details and I will find out what happened for you. Its all about good customer service innit!
  10. Chalk another one up for Commercial at Chapeltown. Try the Imperial, its superb!
  11. What makes you say that? What day did you go and at what time? I will find out who was working and get their attitude re-adjusted. As for the beer not being well kept, load of rubbish!
  12. Kelham Island Tavern or Fat Cat would get my vote. The Riverside gets an honourable mention for stocking a White Rose Brewery beer at all times!
  13. I can confirm too, the food is good! Just been for lunch there and for the price you pay and the portion sizes you get you cannot complain, will certainly be going back there again! The £1.60 beer washes down nice too!
