Cant remember the name of the lane?? the first clod hall lane murder happened 1960 and the victims bubble car was found in a street in chesterfield hence the reason it became know locally as the bubble car murder.. the second murder was a year later and the victims car was again left in the same street in chesterfield. the murderer was brought to justice in 1965 and was given a life sentence Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

fatrajah Posted January 10, 2011 Share Posted January 10, 2011 (edited) The murderer's name was Michael Copeland from Chesterfield. He was found guilty of murder in 1965. He had murdered two local men & one other when he was serving in the army in West Germany. A former work colleague told me that he had seen Copeland throw someone through a shop window during a fight; not only that, he went in after his opponent & carried on beating him up.
