  14. Were do I began? I suppose number one hate is the government and its so called reforms that have damaged lives both of disabled and non disabled. Two, media especially the right wing ones who have flamed the flames of hate and attacks on the disabled have increased. No real help for injured service men only battles for care and specialist hospitals closed due to MOD cuts . Theirs a real sense of the country going backwards in adult care and removal of wardens in shelter accommodation. I'm sure theirs more but I will leave it at that.
  15. I'm quite short sighted now I did look into having my eyes corrected. To me Laser eye treatment offers much but fails to delivery I was told I would need glasses again in later life so thought what's the point plus I have arthritis in most of my body that makes my eyes dry Laser surgery would make this worse.

  17. We need another Winston Churchill someone who can bring the people together and rebuild as one nation and leave hate at the door. But that's asking too much .
  18. I'm not normally into Police dramas but I enjoyed watching David Jason in a Touch of Frost never got into Morse or the Bill. Also quite liked the moody theme tune to Touch of Frost.

  20. I think today's diet not that great if you look back on what people eat and drank and then look what we eat today it makes you wounder who got it right. I can't see bread and dripping been popular with today's fussy eaters !
  21. Sheffield has a place in family . I was not born at Sheffield myself but others were Stannington village especially holds a special place. My family in the past was quite large and were publicans they ran the old Hare and Hounds and the Blue Boer pubs in the 19th century . Moving forwards in time some of my family lived at Norfolk Park and worked at Firth Browns steel works ( Atlas Works ) as well as been in the Army. I lived at Sheffield for a brief time IV seem to have a soft spot for the steel city.
