  1. The reasons for this have been given to you only a few weeks before. Hillsborough is a) flattish, b) has good transport links from the city with the tram and multiple buses and c) is big enough. No other park fits the bill with all three. I really dont understand why you are bothered.
  2. Thats great. What does an 80 year old man about to shut a pub got to do with public transport though?
  3. Plenty of people seemingly pay for it, some folk are making a fortune on Onlyfans and that is 80% porn.
  4. I withdrew £6k years ago to buy a car and was asked what I was doing with the money. If it was happening then, it certainly happens now. You only have to look through the MSE forums to find threads about people given the third degree by banks for them wanting to take cash out. Anyway this is all a neat distraction from this thread and the Chairman trying to avoid S75 and chargeback claims.
  5. Glad to hear its different owners. They shut The Milestone down at Kelham Island when Covid hit, never reopened it, and didn't bother actually telling anyone what was going on. Believe it's now something else anyway.
  6. I suspect you haven't tried to withdraw a large amount of late. That amount of money would certain trigger the usual AML questions. In any case it's rather obvious why debit and credit card payments aren't being accepted here, all very off.
  7. Its not even 50%, for example in Barnsley last year it was 19% https://www.barnsley.gov.uk/services/our-council/council-plan/2022-2023-budget/
  8. Every Premier Inn I have ever stayed in has one of those or both, they arent particularly high end hotels.
  9. Any decent hotel will have a chain and/or a deadlock inside the door.
  10. This was an article from the court case at the time https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/hotel-porter-did-it-tv-stars-1678957 Plenty of people filled in the gaps and knew it was Spraggan tbf, obviously couldnt be reported until now.
  11. This is nothing like that at all. That is just the mistaken believe that you can still buy a ticket on a train and in the most part is innocent enough. The article posted above is just plain theft, pure and simple.
  12. Maybe one day there will be a ladder to the moon from Devonshire Green. How can you be certain there won't be?
  13. Back up to Fridays price for tomorrow (or near enough), but that is to be expected and still decent enough.
  14. Now the cap has gone I did see the evening half hourly rate as high as 36p at one point this week. So wouldn't be ideal for me tbh.
  15. Octopus do a tariff called Agile, it's like ours whereby it tracks the wholesale rate but the price changes half hourly. Sometimes the price goes into negative as you can see. Tomorrow its ridiculously negative and between half 1.and half 3 in the afternoon people will be PAID over 7p for every unit they use. Read stories about people a fortnight ago with a load of oil radiators on in the back garden 😂 On a normal day though it can be quite pricey in the evening (it can go over the cap quite regularly) so unless you can load shift it's not ideal. Quite frankly the price changing every 30 mins would drive me nuts. Be great for shift workers though. Our daily rate is worked out from the average of the hourly rate, hence why it's just under 8p all day tomorrow. On the Agile tomorrow it goes above 20p in the evening.
  16. Be fine until it starts creeping up but no danger of that yet, barring another war.
  17. Fools, I believe. Hope he is happy paying his 30p a unit. Will be getting all my washing and drying and the roast on tomorrow.
