  3. Ah, a quick look on Twitter yields the answer... https://twitter.com/SheffieldForum/status/1660740592006049792?t=EIxH_tysCPYfecnonokVWQ&s=19
  4. I walked past the playground at the weekend on Duchess Rd near town and there were signs up saying *closed for public safety, 22nd May 7-11pm". Thought it a bit odd. Maybe it's connected as I can hear it too.
  5. This page offers some suggestions https://eastmidlandsrailway.train-help.com/en/support/solutions/articles/78000000251-how-do-i-reserve-a-seat- I would suggest based on that September (assuming that is what you were looking at) isn't within 12 weeks. Maybe leave it a bit longer and see if cheaper tickers are released at the 12 week stage? Also remember that between Gatwick and St Pancras there either will be no first class or its merely a couple of tables in a seperate area with no real perks.
  6. Did you vote for Brexit? In which case, reap what you sow.
  7. Well said. https://twitter.com/anon_opin/status/1660675643921580033?t=uLtK9A5oAwWWHWTx2Pd_1A&s=19
  8. Sound right, I suspect you are paying the higher rates there for paying on receipt of a quarterly bill. As mentioned numerous times by myself, this is the most expensive way of paying for energy. If Anna is paying 54p (ish) a day then that must solely be for her electric, and she is confusing herself here. Her gas wont be as much as 54p a day on its own.
  9. Thats still 54p a day, are you 100% sure you are talking about a gas standing charge ONLY here? If its 54p a day for BOTH electric and gas then that sounds too low.
  10. Of course it is. But this isnt a "ban" on white people and all races can happily choose to attend any of the 29 scheduled showings of this play. Why is it? Sex is a protected characteristic exactly the same as race is.
  11. I know we have. I am just curious as to why some people seem to be ignoring me bringing it up, when in reality its no different to the subject of this thread.
  12. Here is some reality for you: "no one is excluded from attending." https://www.stratfordeast.com/whats-on/all-shows/tambo-and-bones#BookingDetails Here is some more reality: https://www.sheffieldcitytrust.org/swimming/ladies-only-swimming Can we have some outrage about this, please?
  13. I would be asking why you are paying that amount in standing charges first of all tbh.
  14. Sorry, what? Who with? That sounds far too much. Is that for gas AND electric? Even if it is, it still sounds too much. Both combined should be no more than about 80p a day so thats not even half of the monthly amount you state.
  15. Here. https://www.ucas.com/undergraduate/applying-to-university I suspect it isnt a serious request though....
  16. If white people were banned from a performance: absolutely yes If black people were banned from a performance: absolutely yes. Luckily, neither of those things are happening. What do you think about swimming pools offering women only sessions with no leeway given whatsoever?
  17. Just to put this into some form of non teeth-gnashing perspective. This show runs for 4 weeks. In that time there are 29 different showings. Dont believe me? Take a look: https://www.stratfordeast.com/whats-on/all-shows/tambo-and-bones White people are banned from 0 showings. Black people are banned from 0 showings. Just worth pointing that out. Do people have the same outrage when gyms and swimming pools offer women only classes/swims? And before anyone says "waaah waaah waaah thats not the same is it", may I remind you that a) sex is a protected characteristic in the same way race is, and b) the theatre isnt actively banning anyone like the gyms and pools are. They haven't "asked". They are merely offering a performance where black people may feel comfortable going, in exactly the same way they are offering a BSL performance, a sign language performance, a captioned performance, an AD performance a "relaxed" performance (whatever the hell that is) and a "socially distanced" performance. Read above. Do you have the same outrage for gyms and swimming pools?
  18. It's not really though is it? Nobody is forcing black people to go to this show and they can happily book one of the other ones if they wish. By the same token nobody is stopping white people attending it.
  19. Pretty sure that will happen once Beca sees all the threads, settle down.
  20. I agree about breakfast radio but 15 songs in 4 hours?! Just a brief look at other stations. Gary Davies did 33 in 2.5 hours this morning on R2. Greg James 39 in 3.5 hours on R1. Having a look at other BBC Local stations this morning though and the most I can see in the 4 hours time slot was 20 songs, so they must presume people listening to local radio love waffle.
