  1. Gas prices on my tracker are 4.35p today (lowest it's been since I went on this tariff) and electric is 17.6p today and 18.07p tomorrow. It's nice to be able to have those prices but I agree it's taking the mick now for everyone else.
  2. I agree. The fact remains, and something poor oul Checkhov will have to get his pretty head around, that legally no customer toilets have to be provided in these smaller supermarkets without a cafe. Or any supermarket without a cafe. Or any shop without a cafe for that matter (bookies seemingly an exception)
  3. How many Council vehicles do you think arent exempt? Wont be many, and those that are will be kept to the outskirts. You wont see this though as you are a pussy who has me on ignore, so maybe @The_DADDY can do me the honours and quote it for Judd, please.
  4. Why has Makapaka closed his or her account? Very odd.
  5. The dolls had been seized anyway, there was no decision to make in that regard.
  6. The sense of entitlement here is ridiculous. If you are seriously expecting every shop to provide your weak bladdered child with a toilet, on demand, then you are living in the clouds.
  7. And the pub has now shut down BBC News - Grays pub that displayed golly dolls closes after supplier boycott https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-65471314
  8. Its usually the same day for the top 4 leagues in England, or at least it has been.
  9. Never mind, went and found out myself. Eight within a 10 mile radius of me do. On the flip side, eight of the nearest 11 to me do not (all within 6 miles), so its clearly only the minority that do.
  10. Out of interest, which Aldi in Sheffield or surrounding area has a customer toilet? I havent been in a single one nationwide that has this.
  11. Do you want a place to provide toilets and then not actually monitor them? Thats fine then. Tell me where your shop is, I will bring my 9 year old niece in, we will ask to use your loo and then I will get her to trip over something you have left lying around and break her leg. Lets see what happens then with your liability insurance.
  12. Indeed, I dont believe there is any legal requirement for a supermarket to provide customer toilets if they dont have a customer cafe, the Co-Op at Woodhouse certainly doesnt have a cafe or at least it didnt on Sunday when I was in there. Neither does any branch of Lidl or Aldi I have been in. I dont see the issue here, then again we know what he is like.
  13. As someone who runs his own business you would think he would be aware of the insurance/H&S implications of allowing the general public in non-trading areas. In that context, this is the most ridiculous rant I have ever seen from him.
  14. The difference this weekend is that both games are "nothing" games for the South Yorkshire sides: Sheff Weds are guaranteed 3rd and Barnsley are guaranteed 4th. . Could be a very different tension around by the time the second leg of a knockout semi final comes around. Also: I cant imagine even the police can move games in the final round of fixtures where they all have to kick off at the same time. Would be very unfair on Derby County and Peterborough who very much still have something to play for - go and look where they are in the table. The initial league fixtures list has to be signed off by the police, who would have given the OK to this final round of games nearly a year ago. If they didnt want SWFC and Barnsley at home on the final day, they would have requested this.
  15. Well thats just how retail habits have changed. There isnt the space in the Centre for massive pet stores, massive electrical stores, massive supermarkets etc so they had to go and build on green/brown field sites further out. Same applies everywhere.
  16. I see. Get him to look at Air BnB, plenty of cheap options remaining https://www.airbnb.co.uk/s/Sheffield/homes?tab_id=home_tab&refinement_paths[]=%2Fhomes&flexible_trip_lengths[]=one_week&price_filter_input_type=2&price_filter_num_nights=5&channel=EXPLORE&query=Sheffield&place_id=ChIJFb7o-qkKeUgReLAGr_UnKD4&date_picker_type=calendar&checkin=2023-05-22&checkout=2023-05-23&adults=1&source=structured_search_input_header&search_type=autocomplete_click
  17. Why is this any different from the thread you already started on the Coronation? Going to request a merge.
  18. Every Premier Inn within a 10 mile radius of Sheffield is fully booked for the 22nd May. There is a Travelodge in town for an eye watering £240. And the only Ibis in Sheffield left is at the Arena for £165. In conclusion - Cressida's son has left it far too late. See above.
  19. 1 - Tell you son to go to Booking.com or Hotels.com or Travelodge.co.uk or Premierinn.co.uk 2 - Book the cheapest hotel available None of us on here know which hotels will already be booked up or not. A quick look on Booking.com suggests your son is going to get ripped off as demand is high.
  20. Oh come on, that just silly. All cities have large parks, they just have different names.
  21. Well done for comparing a large city centre with a small town and an out of town shopping centre. I have some chalk and cheese here, would you like to compare those?
  22. Just say you have bought the dog, they aren't to know. In any case, can't you do it online?
  23. Ah another airing for "the fifties were great", there. Been a while.
  24. Organgrinder, Cuttsie, Jack Grey and a bucket of lard.
