    Some of these players may actually have valid points, if forum members turn the Sheffield blinkers off. Its an old venue, and its also a relatively tiny venue which is hosting the largest event on the circuit. It can only trade off its history for so long.

    None of the people and posts you named are councillors. If you go and actually look how much the elected officials earn, especially the ones with no additional responsibilities, you may actually be shocked how low it is.

    The theory is that freeing up the R1 and R2 replay midweeks will allow two extra rounds in the EFL Trophy, a competition that a) has PL academy sides in, and b) the PL clubs actually fund. No idea if the latter is actually true, just what I read.

    Last time I called Electoral Services the phone was picked up within seconds, they aren't all like the council tax department. He could have had his answer by now.

    No it's an awful idea, games where possible should be won away from the lottery of a penalty shootout. Anyway, the League Cup already goes straight to penalties after 90 mins and has for a few years now.
