They will find something to get him on. Been after him for nearly 8 years now, surely something will be made to stick. -
Whats Happening In Guardian Land Today
Al Bundy replied to melthebell's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/jul/30/womens-world-cup-2023-team-rankings Their satire is off the scale today. " Emotional turmoil" ðððð And folk will actually believe that story. ðĪŠðĪŠðĪŠðĪŠ "And I connected with the way sportswomen have fought to be taken seriously in a world that still favours male stars, even though I never had a hope of being a professional athlete myself". ððððð Managed to get their usual dig in about men though. ðĪĄðĪĄðĪĄðĪĄ -

Are Gay Pride Marches Past Their Sell By Date?
Al Bundy replied to Axe's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
There has been bigots around since time began and will be until we cease to exist. Absolutely no one will argue that attitudes towards homosexuals has evolved at tremendous pace over the years, but this continuous push regarding the LGBTQ is doing nothing but put back years of education and progress made. It's exactly the same as the BLM movement, it started off rather poignant but was then hyjacked by agitators and racists pushing their views on perfectly rounded and accepting members of the general public, thus creating more division than seen for years. It created more harm than good, identical to what's happening with the constant push for Trans/LGBTQ awareness. For you to mention the " right" in a negative way is exactly the proof required to make my point. With respect, It's folk like you that are causing more harm than good, exactly like the agitators such as the Guardian intended. It's such a shame as things were progressing rather nicely. -
Are Gay Pride Marches Past Their Sell By Date?

I wouldn't say past it's sell by date, but without doubt it's definitely been hijacked by those looking to get attention and others wanting to make money from it. It must be incredibly annoying for the original protestors for gay rights. I've probably mentioned it before but I occasionally meet up in my village with two older gay chaps for a pint and they find the whole LGBTQ+ and all the fanfare absolutely nauseating. -
Exactly. ð

Only one person ranting, I myself are just discussing and asking questions. I just presume that those that like to shout about the climate know a lot more than I do on the subject, so if they still feel it's ok to fly around, then it can't be that serious can it?

7 days to kick off. I could do with a few more weeks off footy to be honest. Can't see where our goals are going to come from at all. As it stands I would totally expect us to really struggle.
-
Once the most outspoken hypocrites that harp on about climate change stop their jet setting around the world, then I will start taking an interest.

Because I am addressing the poster that made claims about others over egging situations and therefore annoying people. Rather like the stop oil folk.
-
You mean just like the stop oil protectors?

It's perfectly normal behaviour to go on one of the world's biggest talk shows to slag off your family, on top of writing a book giving intimate details about it. Moaning about climate change whilst flying around the world. Being filmed mocking your mother in law. Calling one of your family members a racist but refuse to say who. Nothing to see here, I just don't understand why people dislike them. It's crazy. ðð

Topic Inspired By Irene Swaine's Come Dine Thread

Joe Rogan. Les Dawson. Ricky Gervais -
Well obviously it isn't would be the correct answer. However, a lot depends on what sex or age group were asked. I am guessing it's was 50/50 male and female and I've no doubt a large majority of women would say the Euros as it's fresh in the memory and let's be honest, would the majority of British women know many more superb sporting achievements? The men would give a much more varied response. Andy Murray winning Wimbledon was not as great as a 17 year old unknown called Boris Becker winning it, Murray was one of the favourites when he won. Is winning a European tournament greater than winning a World tournament, I don't personally think it is. It's a tough question to be fair. I don't think there are many greater sporting achievements than Wimbledon football club going from Division 4, to the Premier League and winning the F.A cup in such a short period, but I highly doubt anyone from outside of the UK would have that down!

Can you back up your moaning about losing rights? I've only asked you about 6 times. Practice what you preach, otherwise it makes you look a tad silly.

It's a nice area but I wouldn't say it posh at all. Lots of regular folk live there. Did you change the word " mush" to " gob' to show your Sheffield credentials or was that just a slip of the tongue? I really don't understand his beef with it. -
