  1. You need the disposable vapes matey, you will need something to hold and suck on, trust me. Get the 0% nicotine ones, watermelon flavour. Not too sweet, pleasant and gives you a little hit in the throat.
  2. Stray cats at the Lyceum years ago. My favourite band at the time called Mattafix who played in a cool tiny venue in Bucharest. I had a beer with the lead singer beforehand and he asked me what my favourite song was....halfway through he dedicated the song to me. One of the best nights of my life.
  3. And a Che Guevara poster rolled up in the attic that you used to have in your hallway.
  4. I stopped in January, I wasn't a heavy smoker, roughly 8-10 a day but I really loved a ciggy in the morning with a coffee, after some food or with a beer, I literally couldn't see me ever stopping. Then one day I decided to try stopping and bought a disposable vape. The first 3 weeks was tough but not that bad, the vapes helped the cravings. As time went on I found myself not bothering with the vape as much because I didn't really enjoy it like I did a ciggy, but they really really helped when I had a craving. It's now August and I don't even think about having either, doesn't even cross my mind to have a ciggy with a coffee. I dont necessarily feel any healthier I must admit but obviously I know quitting will give me a better chance of living longer which is what I want and I don't suffer from headaches like I used to. If I can do it, anyone can. πŸ‘
  5. I've nailed it. πŸ˜‰

  7. I will make an exception for you because I quite like you.
  8. In mitigation... How much money does the UK government make from cigarettes? In 2023/24, tobacco duty tax receipts in the United Kingdom amounted to approximately 8.8 billion British pounds, compared with ten billion pounds in the previous financial year.Jul 3, 2024. smoking costs the NHS an additional Β£2.4bn and a further Β£1.2bn in social care costs.
  9. Let me guess, vegetarian, weed smoker, Guardian reader? The type that hates Wetherspoons and Oasis? Textbook. πŸ˜‰
  10. Why thank you, appreciate the kind words. πŸ‘
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/aug/28/stop-the-celebrations-oasis-are-the-most-damaging-pop-cultural-force-in-recent-british-history Crikey, what a salty bitter, mean individual. Why do the Guardian and their miserable columnists hate working class people having a good time? Deary me.
  12. Dont fall for it folks.... A 5ft 2" hairy bloke turns up with a club foot and thought my offer of a 99 ice cream was a proposition.
  13. 56 years old male, part time worker and the rest of my time trying to rescue stray cats and dogs, mainly in Eastern Europe. Born in Sheffield, but since the age of 25 I've lived and worked mainly abroad. Hobbies, Football, Tennis, renovating old stuff. Can't say too much more as people might know who I am!
  14. Is the correct answer, anything other is child abuse or folk just being argumentive for the hell of it.
  15. Why not? It's only 2 minutes of your time.
  16. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/article/2024/aug/27/notting-hill-carnival-crime-cop-critics-met-police And there we have it. The Guardian giving air time to someone who thinks the MET and logistics are to blame. "This year is no different. Carnival is viewed through a prism of crime in a way that no other large festival or major sporting event is. Is it because a very large gathering of black people is automatically seen as a potential crime hotspot" No Leroy, it's because it IS A HOTSPOT you silly man. "It’s not viewed with national pride, similar to something like policing England playing at Wembley – even though such matches often involve violent incidents, and police being assaulted" Err, no Leroy, that's just pathetic whataboutery. "I can see why. However I would suggest this can create a β€œthem and us” scenario, where the carnival revellers feel police are unduly imposing themselves and stifling the carnival atmosphere" Well Leroy, if people behaved then there wouldn't be the requirement of so many police to protect innocent people would there you absolute buffoon. I despair at times, I really do.
