It was that bad on my road (Hawksley Avenue) yesturday, that it took me 15 minutes to get to the top.... Even the road was Icey, I just had to had on to the railings while walking very slowly.

I had to laugh when I went Morrisons on Monday about mid-day in Hillsborough and thought I would pick up a couple of Pizza's for my dinner/tea. Picked them up without a basket, as I thought what was the point?. Anyway, go's to the basket cheakout to find everybody queuing down the wine section and beyond!. It was the same for every single cheakout, all way to the bottom... Whats the point?!. Lets just say, I put them back lol.

Have you tried ringing there HR Department?... That should work?!.

Anybody know the Renault Garage will move to then?...

Are there any chippies in Sheffield have have won any awards?... Reason I ask is because there was one chippie down in Devon that had won loads of awards & was well respected because of it.

My girlfreind has had something simlar, but instead of not being able to get incoming calls they haven't be able to make any outgoing calls for 4 days!. Its sorted now, but the service is pretty poor imho.

Could have been yes?, as it was bang opposite the Blue Ball Pub... Maybe she ran out when the cars had stopped and left a gap (as you do) when the lights are on green & was hit by the car travaling down Bradfield Road (heading towards the roundabout)?.

Can confirm as I was walking along Bradfield Road to go to Lloyds Bank... It was at around 11:50am. I didn't see the accident, just so the woman sitting down on the floor and loads of people rushing around. Hope she's okay?.

Since these have been installed, parking on Hawksley Avenue has shot through the roof FFS!. Thought the parking couldn't get any worse, how wrong was I?!.

I took mine to Ghia Garage based on recommendations on this thread.... I booked it in for Tuesday 10am for its MOT and on the Monday (day before) I thought I would ask if I could bring it down now instead of the Tuesday... Without question they said Yes bring it down. Left it with them & a couple of hours later they rang to say it had passed and that the 2 front brake pads were a 3rd down and to keep an eye on it. Me not knowing alot about cars, he showed me how to check for wear and tear of the pads & then I left... Fantastic service and a real pleasure. WOULD RECOMMEND GHIA GARAGE!!!

I think all takeways should deliver now imho... I know Mcdonalds do in America, why can't they do that over here?.... Mind you, it may be better for our waste lines if they don't lol!.

Sometimes though, you don't realise how your accent sounds... Just met somebody from Reading & she says I sound very Yorkshire, but I don't think I do!. I suppose you get used to the sound of your own voice - o wait, just me lol .

A word of warning!.. You will get banned from your Xbox and your Gamertag for playing it before the official release. Seeing as though I worked for Royal Mail for 7 years & left in June... I am 100% backing my former colleagues... I was involved in the last strike a few years back, but this is alot worse imho..

TNT, DHL etc... all use Royal Mail's network to post there letters. They pay Royal Mail a certain amount of money to use it. I have always thought "whats the point", but hey people do use it and I think its down to money?.

If you don't mind walking, you could try Royal Mail's visitor car park at the bottom off Brightside lane and walk up (will take about 20 - 30 mins max)... I am sure people don't use that car park only the top for one for there employees.

Not sure whats been going in if anything, but we went today and yes they have removed the jewellery counter as my mother wanted to buy a few watches for christmas only to be told that they have got rid only this week, as it wasn't in there words "cost effeicve" & as we normally shop at or local Morrisons, it came as bit of a shock tbh.

About 5 years ago & I was one of them, but an old guy asked me to turn it down on the bus and I did without question. Since then if I have to get on the bus, which is very rare now that I drive - I always have my music down as its not really fair on other passengers.
