  1. Check the belt which drives the alternator/power steering for tightness.
  2. I did one back in 1987; the instructor at the time said they preferred to call it "An Intensive Learning Experience " He seemed to reckon that, as a motorcyclist, I could probably crash quite successfully without further training.
  3. I assume that will be Hillsborough Electrical. If it's top flight stuff I'd be inclined to investigate Moorgate Accoustics as well.
  4. Certainly up for sale ON THE RIGHT MOVE WEBSITE Listed amongst its attributes; "Previous planning permission for the erection of 8 apartments" Personally I was hoping for it to be used as a car park for the Rajput, to help alleviate some of the oddball parking there in the evenings.
  5. Looks to me like the petrol station part will be replaced by a car park. i.e. no longer any fuel sales Existing site plan; http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/files/AB8676F1656CE056B08E5BD8FF51997A/pdf/14_01275_FUL-EXISTING_SITE_PLAN-768550.pdf Proposed site plan; http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/files/A78C8A1097353BC56831C310A7D0B638/pdf/14_01275_FUL-PROPOSED_SITE_PLAN-768551.pdf 4 PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT 4.1 The proposed scheme comprises the demolition of the existing sales kiosk, canopy and pumps, and the erection of a new sales building together with 10 parking spaces (including one disabled space) and facilities for delivery vehicle parking. Provision for cycle parking and signage is also made on the site. 4.2 The new building extends to 354sqm GIA, with a sales area not exceeding 280sqm at ground floor level, and ancillary staff/storage facilities at first floor level. A small service yard containing plant and equipment is located to the rear. 4.3 The new building will be located towards the west of the site, to the side of the adjoining dwelling, in approximately the location of the existing kiosk. A new access would be created to the parking/delivery area which would be in the location of the existing forecourt. Existing footway crossovers would be reinstated and a knee rail provided along the site boundary. 4.4 At the current time there are no details of a prospective occupier, as discussions with several parties are continuing and are at a commercially sensitive stage. Given the style and format of the unit and the location of the site, however, it is anticipated that it will attract a general convenience store operator selling everyday items such as groceries, alcoholic and soft drinks, tobacco, and newspapers. The location would be attractive to an operator who would take advantage of trade from local residents living in Crosspool and nearby areas in the western part of Sheffield as well as pass-by traffic on the A57.
  6. You may wish to have a read of this thread over at Pepipoo http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=84549&hl=doncaster Also I'd have a search within that section of the site for similar threads, like so; http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=8adfbc4f8840ee85dccbe3b5986709a0&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=%2Bdoncaster And a completed case summary here; http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=86011&hl=doncaster
  7. PM Sent Andrejuan; check your in-box ---------- Post added 04-12-2013 at 20:12 ---------- Andrejuan, your PM box is full
  8. I'm sure the number will be correct as I rent one myself. Friendly and helpful owners, so I'm guessing they might just be away for a day or two. Please let me know if you're still struggling in a few days time and I'll try and get hold of them for you. I do know where they live, but clearly wouldn't pass that info on to a third party without their permission.
  9. Have a read of post 732, not that far above here, or start your own thread at Pepipoo, where you may be asked to post up a scan of each side of everything you have received (with all your personal details blanked out.)
  10. Why would the OP want to vacuum their washing ? Try typing the fault code into a search engine,it might be an easy fix
  11. Looks a bit like these then http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=82682&hl=airport http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=81693&hl=airport http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=82216&hl=airport I'd head over there and start a thread in your position.
  12. Garry Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but; Street view shows it better than the rather appalling photo, which seems to show the yellow lines stopping before the car, without the required end bar on them. I suspect that what seems to be the end of the lines on the photo is where they are under a shadow cast by the car from the streetlighting behind it. You can just see the shadow on the white lines if you download the photo and brighten it up a bit. https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ll=53.390466,-1.45829&spn=0.002518,0.008079&t=m&z=18&layer=c&cbll=53.390522,-1.458177&panoid=G8uBM-WaodnasF7VKTWcPw&cbp=12,81.25,,0,18.71 I don't think additional signage is required as double yellows don't normally require it where they are operative 24/7. Bad luck to get caught that late in the evening though
  13. Personally, I'm not going to advise either way in case it all goes Pete Tong. However I would tactfully suggest that both you and Nikki-Red wander over and have a look at PepiPoo before coming to a decision, particularly an ill advised one. Hope you have access to a scanner as they will probably want you to post up suitably anonymised copies of all your paperwork to date. The good folks over there seem quite busy with Parking Eye LBAs at the moment
  14. Moosey, thanks for a well thought out and measured reply, and no not at all "Dull" The thread I referred to also seems to show the possible issues with discussing individual cases on an open forum. Should I ever be in need of a solicitor, I'll be in touch if I can find out where you work.
  15. It may be that Parking Eye actually will produce such evidence. I've been casually following a thread over on PepiPoo which the two of you might be interested in reading. Beware, it's up to 10 pages now, and refers to a chap who has recently lost a court case against PE. http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=75803 I'd be interested to know what you and Moosey make of it.
  16. Yes I think you're correct; me not looking closely enough
  17. I did wonder about Hangram Lane originally as the buildings are losely in the same style, and wondered if it was an amalgamation of several real houses into one idealised cottage. However, just up the road a bit past the Norfolk Arms, you get this view https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ll=53.349578,-1.56499&spn=0.000448,0.00101&t=h&z=21&layer=c&cbll=53.349578,-1.56499&panoid=334QsrAAFU6OvPtTnwDIrA&cbp=12,301.61,,1,2.85 Two windows, the door could have had a rounded top prior to the porch being fitted, another door to it's right, and the garden wall could easily have been knocked down & re-built when the junction was widened. The garden wall also looks newer than the ones at the other end of the terrace. Now that I've composed this mail, and tried to view it, the two links don't seem to be opening correctly. It is of the last house in the terrace going past The Norfolk Arms towards Burbage, on the corner of Fulwwod Lane & Ringinglow Road https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ll=53.349634,-1.565043&spn=0.000896,0.00202&t=h&z=20
  18. You could do worse than having a word with David. http://www.dean-roofing.co.uk/index.htm or try here if you do Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dean-Roofing-Millhouses-Sheffield/300196114571
  19. Ah, I think I might understand now. Is it a USB powered 2 1/2 laptop size drive? I've been here before. The lead that came with mine had 2xUSB plugs at one end and one the other. You need to plug the single end in the drive and the other two ends into a PAIR of USB ports as a single port may not supply enough power to write to the drive. I originally thought you were using a mains powered 3 1/2" caddy and a normal USB lead. Unfortunately the Home Hub has only 1 USB port, so will probably not supply enough juice. I suspect you will need a mains powered caddy or a Network one as in my earlier link, though that's only suited to full size IDE drives
  20. I've just done a 500 Gig drive by putting it in a spare PC with no other drives, booting to a particular floppy I have and formatting it from there. I'll willingly assist if you are anywhere near Crookes and it's an IDE drive. My spare machine is too old for SATA
  21. I don't know what operating system you are using, but try doing it from the command prompt. All is explained HERE Alternatively a Windows 98 boot floppy should do the job. Good luck
  22. Just had a thought. I struggled a while ago, with a network caddy rather than a usb one, but had a similar problem. I could create folders and files whilst using it as a conventional USB caddy, and they were seen when I connected it as a network one, I just couldn't do anything with them. The box I referred to in my previous post does both RJ45 & USB-2 Connectivities. Rather than letting the system find your drive when setting up the "map network drive", try typing in the address manually, as in \\storage I needed to specify the last 4 digits of the MAC address as I have more that one network drive, (as in \\storage-abcd ) but that obviously wouldn't apply to you. In fact can you access the drive by typing \\storage in the RUN box? I'm on XP Pro by the way
  23. And if all else fails, your spare drive is an old IDE one and you have £22 + P&P to spare; I'm using one of these, which seemed pretty good value
  24. Might be worth having a word with David for a quote http://www.dean-roofing.co.uk/index.htm
