  1. Has anyone found a bunch of padlock keys, possibly lost in Morrisons upper car park Hillsborough please? I think I dropped them on Tuesday 13th Jan. Yes I have asked at Morrisons, Crawshaws and the charity shop today. Many Thanks
  2. Kidley, my apologies, it was ill worded on my part; I actually meant to delete my own post not yours. I was conscious that I didn't want anything to develop into a slanging match on a thread about someone else's accident, who may well have been injured. As I read post 7, Sally was driving along Mosborough Parkway (A57) towards Sheffield Parkway (A57/A630). None of the Mosborough Parkway section of the A57 up to the Moss Way roundabout has a 70 limit as none is dual carriageway. I would agree with her that some folks treat it as a bit of a racetrack. Personally I've been travelling at the speed limit on the 60 section, had someone in a car overtake my down the hashed lines, only to have someone else overtake them. I can't see that fixed cameras would make that much difference though, unless they were Specs type, but I doubt that would be justified.
  3. It may well be, but what's that got to do with this thread about the Mosborough Parkway? Anyway, I'm with Alternageek on this one, so feel free to delete this post, if you feel it's appropriate.
  4. Well given that I used to make my own wetsuits for caving, yes there is glue available; or at least there used to be. Unfortunately the shop I used to frequent closed a number of years ago, but I'm sure a quick internet search will provide an answer. Butt joint with glue on a seam and then, by hand with a needle and thread, cross/zig-zag overlock on both sides of the fabric. Finally tape over the outer stitching.
  5. According to the AA there is no fixed fee. I'd phone around a few places to see about the charge elsewhere. If you are posting it, don't forget to take a photocopy and get free proof of posting from a PO
  6. Well given your user name, I should try Coopers
  7. I may be wrong as I've not been there for a while, but I thought Coopers was a scrap car / used car spares yard, rather than a scrap metal yard.
  8. Another recommendation for the folks in the small stall in Debenhams. They are part of a national group http://www.intime.co.uk/about-intime and seem to provise a good service.
  9. I'm with Roosterboost on this one; don't turn 3 points and a fine into something far more serious, and possibly custodial. My understanding is that you originally received a "Conditional Offer of Fixed Penalty" Unfortunately, since you failed to comply with all of the specified conditions, that option has now been withdrawn and it has gone to summons. This post on Pepipoo is a similar scenario, so you may wish to plead guilty by post if that option is open to you. Failing that, an early guilty plea on the day seems to be favourite, but do not act on my advice only. I'd head off to the above web site and ask the question there, where you will receive advice from folks who do genuinely understand all the implications.
  10. I think you've quoted me without quite understanding what I was trying to say. My original comment was posted in haste as dinner was ready, so maybe my intention wasn't clear enough. My comment was; Because, as it's land to which the public has access, the road traffic laws apply, dangerous driving included. (yes I've corrected the typo ) Unfortunately some folks, whilst enjoying themselves, give responsible car enthusiasts a bad name, and cause grief for everyone. I'm not disputing for a minute that the majority of people behave themselves, but unfortunately "some folks", be it Gumball or evan a local cruise on occasion, do cause annoyance and draw attention to themselves in a negative way. This upsets the locals, sometimes the landowners, attracts the police and may well endanger someone's safety. Remember, it also upsets the responsible car enthusiasts who may well be attending the same event. I could easily be one of the enthusiasts, depending on timing and location; I've no problem with a police presence at a well organised event to keep a lid on problems. I'm very much aware that some events attract high profile policing, which involves dishing out shed loads of tickets to discourage future attendance. I don't want to get caught in the fallout. I actually do understand very much why people are into modding cars, having a kit car, and rather non standard Landrover, myself. I also have no objection to folks meeting to enjoy themselves, whether they turn up on foot, skateboard or BMX. When one turns up in any vehicle, on land "to which the public has access", road traffic laws do apply; many drivers don't realise that the law changed some time ago, and believe they are immune from motoring prosecutions in a private car park. So long as they stay within the law, and the landowner has no objections, then I agree, why shouldn't people be allowed free association, regardless of their form of transport? I'd like to think that we don't live in a police state. Whilst I accept that it was a car show than a local cruise, even the 2014 Hope Motor Show, out at the Traveller's in Brough, had to be cancelled by the organisers because of the antics of a minority on the road after the event the previous year. I think there was a police presence in 2013, but from what I remember, they left early. http://www.sheffieldandhallamshiremc.co.uk/hope-show-13.html Sadly the warning wasn't heeded by a minority. http://www.sheffieldandhallamshiremc.co.uk/hope-show-14.html There is no doubt that both the true enthusiasts, and some local charities are poorer due to the actions of a few irresponsible drivers. Yes the latter were probably egged on by the crowd, but that's when people show off, run out of talent, lose it, and someone sadly gets hurt.
  11. Because, it it's land to which the public has access the road traffic laws apply, dangerous driving included. Unfortunately some folks, whilst enjoying themselves, give responsible car enthusiasts a bad name, and cause grief for everyone. from about 30 second on, when the driver runs out of talent. All it takes is one of these wallies to lose it when they're pointing at spectators.
  12. I've never seen a Mason Jar with a handle. Aren't they normally screw capped and used for preserving things? Do you mean Dimple Glasses for beer? http://www.beerwrangler.com/the-beer-glass-guide/ Personally I prefer the plain one, described above as a Tankard.
  13. Check the belt which drives the alternator/power steering for tightness.
  14. I did one back in 1987; the instructor at the time said they preferred to call it "An Intensive Learning Experience " He seemed to reckon that, as a motorcyclist, I could probably crash quite successfully without further training.
  15. I assume that will be Hillsborough Electrical. If it's top flight stuff I'd be inclined to investigate Moorgate Accoustics as well.
  16. Certainly up for sale ON THE RIGHT MOVE WEBSITE Listed amongst its attributes; "Previous planning permission for the erection of 8 apartments" Personally I was hoping for it to be used as a car park for the Rajput, to help alleviate some of the oddball parking there in the evenings.
  17. Looks to me like the petrol station part will be replaced by a car park. i.e. no longer any fuel sales Existing site plan; http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/files/AB8676F1656CE056B08E5BD8FF51997A/pdf/14_01275_FUL-EXISTING_SITE_PLAN-768550.pdf Proposed site plan; http://publicaccess.sheffield.gov.uk/online-applications/files/A78C8A1097353BC56831C310A7D0B638/pdf/14_01275_FUL-PROPOSED_SITE_PLAN-768551.pdf 4 PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT 4.1 The proposed scheme comprises the demolition of the existing sales kiosk, canopy and pumps, and the erection of a new sales building together with 10 parking spaces (including one disabled space) and facilities for delivery vehicle parking. Provision for cycle parking and signage is also made on the site. 4.2 The new building extends to 354sqm GIA, with a sales area not exceeding 280sqm at ground floor level, and ancillary staff/storage facilities at first floor level. A small service yard containing plant and equipment is located to the rear. 4.3 The new building will be located towards the west of the site, to the side of the adjoining dwelling, in approximately the location of the existing kiosk. A new access would be created to the parking/delivery area which would be in the location of the existing forecourt. Existing footway crossovers would be reinstated and a knee rail provided along the site boundary. 4.4 At the current time there are no details of a prospective occupier, as discussions with several parties are continuing and are at a commercially sensitive stage. Given the style and format of the unit and the location of the site, however, it is anticipated that it will attract a general convenience store operator selling everyday items such as groceries, alcoholic and soft drinks, tobacco, and newspapers. The location would be attractive to an operator who would take advantage of trade from local residents living in Crosspool and nearby areas in the western part of Sheffield as well as pass-by traffic on the A57.
  18. You may wish to have a read of this thread over at Pepipoo http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=84549&hl=doncaster Also I'd have a search within that section of the site for similar threads, like so; http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?act=Search&CODE=show&searchid=8adfbc4f8840ee85dccbe3b5986709a0&search_in=posts&result_type=topics&highlite=%2Bdoncaster And a completed case summary here; http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=86011&hl=doncaster

  20. I'm sure the number will be correct as I rent one myself. Friendly and helpful owners, so I'm guessing they might just be away for a day or two. Please let me know if you're still struggling in a few days time and I'll try and get hold of them for you. I do know where they live, but clearly wouldn't pass that info on to a third party without their permission.
  21. Have a read of post 732, not that far above here, or start your own thread at Pepipoo, where you may be asked to post up a scan of each side of everything you have received (with all your personal details blanked out.)
  22. Why would the OP want to vacuum their washing ? Try typing the fault code into a search engine,it might be an easy fix
  23. Looks a bit like these then http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=82682&hl=airport http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=81693&hl=airport http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=82216&hl=airport I'd head over there and start a thread in your position.
