  1. No, not in a million years. His laughable 'tactics' would take us back to the Stone Age.
  2. Looking for somewhere for New Years Eve afternoon. We're going with three small children and wanted a private room so they can run around a bit more without disturbing others and without us worrying too much! Tried the Florentine but they're closed to prepare for the evening. Anyone know any others? Wanting a good standard of food similar to Florentine. Thanks.
  3. Im more than a little worried we are going to get spanked. Not as bad as City did to Wednesday but close
  4. Whats their record for not scoring in games too? Must be getting close now.
  5. Its certainly a chance to cathup on the top spots and show our intention to win this league over the difficuly xmas period. There is no-one in this league we should be worried by- I just hope we have enough firepower to score against everyone.
  6. Can anyone say what these 'patrons' did apart from get free tickets? Im yet to make my mind up about the whole ched thing but im paying less and less attention to these people now- why make a big thing of it- just rind up the club and say your not a patron anymore, why make a big thing of it unless its for the publicity.
  7. Spa was closed over the weekend with no sign of life so they'd bet get a move on to make it into a morrisons.
  8. After alot of thought i have come to the conclusion that i don't agree with this- fishy small about the case maybe but at the end of the day he is still a convicted rapist. I don't want him near my club and i don't want the club to undo YEARS of good work in the community in search of a few goals that he may or may not provide.
  9. I woudn't say that, Wentworth house is still going and thats right next to Rixstons, plus there are plenty in stocksbridge that do pretty good business from the mill there. The majority have gone though i agree!
  10. Been closed for the past week at least from what i have seen. Had a takeaway from it a few weeks ago- certainly nothing special about it and the 'world famous' crispy duck was distinctly average.
  11. Yeah, we know our neighbours either side of our house and up our side of the street- they are terraced houses though so you do live closer that normal houses. We have a drink in the summer and a good chat- its nice.
  12. Agreed, He is slowly beginning to win me over but the writing so far this series has been garbage- "spiders on the moon", and "honey i shrunk the darlek" just don't cut it for me. Where have all the amazing stories like "don't blink" gone? They need to give him a chance.
  13. Agreed but a 'fare calcuator' on the website would be possible.
  14. Its not the greatest pub in the world but the sportman is always a decent place to go for a pint or two, good lagers on and rotating real ales.
  15. Im sorry, im a blade and i don't agree with you. £400+ for a season ticket in the south stand for 3rd division football is frankly ridiculous.
  16. I followed a cop van on Saturday morning what was from Thames valley force- you can bet they stayed over the night before too.
  17. Im also after a place if anyone has one spare, thank you.
  18. It is now the crispy duck cafe and they serve there 'World Famous' crispy duck. world famous- REALLY?
  19. Really good. Have been for numerous meals in there and never really had a bad one.
  20. Most sensible post on here, totally agree- SOMEONE will pick him up and take the risk, if it's united remains to be seen but there is not a cat in hells chance that man is in a powerful negotiating position, certainly not to 18k a week.
  21. We went for Sunday dinner last weekend and thought it was lovely, the size of the yorkshire puddings have to be seen to be believed and the meat was lovely, could maybe have done with an extra slice of meat but that was my only gripe with it- we wanted extra gravely for the table and it was brought out free of charge. They had a good drinks selection on and everything run pretty smoothly. Will 100% be going again- the terrace outside looks perfect for the summer!
  22. If you hate the city so much may i suggest that you move. The rubbish that you are writing certainly isn't my view nor any of my friends so don't suggest that you speak for all of the residents of sheffield. You say sheffield is viewed like that by the rest of the world and that sheffield isn't experiencing ANY growth- do you have any proof of that or is that just your hate fuelled opinion based on the fact that the bike race isn't allowed to finish in the city centre (quite where you would want them to finish is beyond me- Fargate? The moor? How about going round the pitch at Bramall lane and the first one over the goal line wins?). Im sure much cleverer people than you and I would have thought long and hard to try to get the tour stage finishing in the city centre but the simple fact is they couldn't make it work- that may be because of the layout of the city centre OR it may be because of the conditions the tour organisers placed on the yorkshire stages decision committee- unless you have access to those documents we will never know. The simple fact is that the decision HAS been made and no amount of whinging and moaning is going to change that so why not change the habit of a lifetime and get behind something that is undoubtably GOOD for the city and will raise the profile of Sheffield all over the world.
