Hi, We are thinking about adding a 4th Bedroom to our house but im not sure if we should go for an extension (The house already has a single story extension that they could add to) or to extend into the roof and put a dormer in. Cost is a big factor so could anyone tell me (Generially speaking) which is more expensive? We would like the dormer to have a bathroom if possible which i know will add cost. Thx

77,000 Tons Of Spoil Dumped In Green Belt
scottf replied to NewBiz's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
Soil being dumped in green belt is a bit of a misleading title, they are wanting to improve and extend the driving range to add on more driving bays and to make a new 9 hole course so its hardly like its going to be an eyesore. Plus i echo what other people have said, 1 per hour- hardly the M1 isn't it. -
An Audience With Kevin Gage, Mitch Ward & Carl Bradshaw

Will be there 100% -
As expected it was business as usual on the south stand, i think united are just paying lip service to it due to the PL 'rules'

What's happened to the Thai at the Travellers. Holmesfield?
scottf replied to MaxVinella's topic in Going out in Sheffield
You missed quite a few in the village- across the road from the town precinct there is a lovely cafe in the old barn, plus a little further down that road there is a great cafe in the forge shopping centre that's definitely worth a visit. -
Would make my walk to the shops on Sunday afternoon a hell of a lot shorter!!

I don't think that anyone said it was wrapped up, especially when they said that no clubs had bid for him, i agree- 20m is far too much to pay for Sheffield United. Those are the kind of signings that get you into trouble if the worth happens and we are relegated. Osborn has just signed from Forest, another shrewd sighing IMHO, Forest's player of the year last year and has bags of potential. Typical Wilder signing.

i cant guarantee that people won't stop smoking down the side of the south stand at half time. During the game there are hardly any vapers using but at half time its totally different.

scottf replied to badders's topic in Sheffield Sport & Activities
Just a message for anyone who was thinking about playing badminton again- i went on Tuesday and had some great games! I can't be there every week because of work commitments but i'd highly recommend this club if you were thinking about getting back into badminton -

Another shout for Dronfield, the classes are pretty big but they shout loud and my daughter is coming along well. -

We moved here from Broomhill/Crookes and i must admit compared to those areas it takes a bit of getting used to! -

To be fair you can't call it Dronfield, its definitely Holmesfield. Dronfield has got a good few pubs now, its a good night out. At the bottom there is the Arms, the newly refurbished Swan plus smiffys wine bar is getting an upgrade, then you have the Manor house, Green dragon and Blue stoops- all within walking distance of each other. -

Its been closed for quite a while unfortunately, no sign of it opening up elsewhere yet- shame as its the only place around S18 that did a half decent green curry. -
Your right, they have capped the season tickets at 24 or 25k. Bramall Lane lower will be exclusively for the away fans which leaves Bramall lane upper tier for 'pay on the day' fans (which is somewhat of a misnomer as they won't be available on the day - you'll have to be registered on the sheffield united system with a local address to avoid away fans going in there). There is no requirement for us to leave ANY tickets available for pay on the day, clubs like Newcastle have been all season ticket sales for years.

My charity (Children with cancer UK) had 1200 runners and raised 1.77million which is a staggering amount! I wish i could have run a 2.54!! I did a 4.34 and that nearly killed me!
-
Its nothing to do with the police IMHO, its Wednesday refusing to give united the tickets because we only gave you the lower tier for the return leg at derby. Plus imagine the noise from that stand if it was full of blades, i guess they have been petty and decided that they didn't need the extra revenue.

Financial/Mortgage advisor recommendations
scottf replied to em2656's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
We have a great lady who sorts our mortgage out- PM me for her details. -
You can for a little bit near the nature reserve but there isn't an established path that follows by its side as far as I'm aware. If you find one please let me know.

Id love to say we would win this one but i think it will be a draw. Its going to be a good test of where we are against one of the top top teams in the division.

How experienced do you need to be? I have played at a good level but not for a while! -

From where can I book a flight on a propeller plane?
scottf replied to Hayley1's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
FlyBe Manchester to Southampton BE860 or BE862 are usually always a Dash 8 prop plane, takes around 40 minutes. -
I completely agree, some of the roads in Dronfield are an absolute disgrace, the corner near dominos and cemetery road are shocking. It wouldn't surprise me if people started having punctures on them soon and asking the council for payment, as you say its so close to the offices i can't believe that they haven't sorted it yet. ---------- Post added 28-03-2018 at 13:12 ---------- I agree its so sad that they are all shutting but what can they do, I'd love a decent butchers to move in and maybe a greengrocer but would they get enough footfall? Maybe now that Coop has gone it could be viable?

Why? They all seen to be busy and doing well. Its better than an empty shop front.
