  1. OMG I hope they don't get Quentin Willson or Tiff Noodle Needell
  2. Just for storage? We pay about that including use of it for 4 days a month in summer months (24 days). If we want to use it any more days it is extra
  3. When you can't see round a bend your commonsense should tell you to slow down. It's called thinking ahead. One day you might encounter as previous poster said a slow moving tractor so you should drive like there may be an obstacle you can't see round the next bend whatever that obstacle may be or you will one day meet the immovaable object. I have had a clean licence for 30 odd years
  4. I agree that they should have put their dogs on lead but if yours is unpredictable when out then he ought to be muzzled. Suppose a child ran past and you couldn't stop him biting
  5. Don't think Chez was intending to cause trouble, she was giving you options to pass on to your friend and TBH if the rescue centres have concerns then maybe you should take this on board. Cats live a long time, one of mine is 19, it's a big commitment
  6. Sounds like what previous poster has said you're buying wrong plants without checking your soil type. Maybe you could take a sample of your soil to the garden centre when you get some more seeds or plants. We have daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses that flower year after year. You need to look for perennials
  7. Try Heart Foundation in town, they only deal with furniture or a reupholstery shop
  8. Do you think it's wise going on an open forum and asking about a prospective employer like this?
  9. All the rescue centres are usually over run with kittens, granted they will charge to make sure they go to good homes but while cats are much cheaper than dogs they still cost to keep with such things as injections, vet care etc. I took on my neighbours cat when she left and then found out he had health issues including a heart murmur but he is worth every penny but he cost me about £200 in vets fees. I now have Healthcare on him, which is not insurance as such as he can't get that with pre existing problems but it covers vaccinations, flea and worm treatment etc
  10. Well it seems that a stranger who doesn't know the difference between manners and mannerisms has come among us to try and cause friction. Well we are going to blame the lack of Hendos and rise above it :hihi:
  11. Do you want to hire one for home use or are you looking for a tanning place you can go to?
  12. Check prices for similar on Ebay but they also charge for selling. Jewellers might be your best bet
  13. Well I'd hardly call it the best pub in town using the criteria it was full of builders looking for work. The best pub in town in the late 60s and seventies was the Buccaneer
  14. Electrical fault Ring Ian Kelly 01142852480 or 07976265034 - top bloke and he'll come to you.
  15. Auction houses charge usually between 10 and 20%, some might be more and you also have to pay VAT. Scrap value is likely to be the best bet unless it's an antique
  16. Give the DVLA a ring because if it's the same as a car it has to be 3 years old before it needs an MOT. Also check age of it with the place you bought it from. Just because it hadn't been used doesn't mean that they haven't had it sat in showroom for a while
  17. Just take notice of the helpful posts on here and ignore the ones that have turned it into a campaign against the benefits system. Don't think your friend is well enough to battle for anybody not even himself. Just concentrate on getting him medical help
  18. Go to the bus station in town and get some leaflets or go on traveline online or ring 01709 515151 but don't forget to ask what sort of visa you'll need to get out of South Yorkshire :hihi:
  19. Well at least you know now but it was a bit cheeky without asking especially after four weeks. I'd ask him for storage because clearly that's why he put it there he didn't want to pay
