Why would anybody want to put trout in a pond where fishing is legal all the year round?
-
None - it's closed season on the rivers between 15th March and 15th June ---------- Post added 18-03-2015 at 19:03 ---------- Check your dates Croftonblade - this is what your link says Coarse fish close season It is unlawful to fish for coarse fish from 15 March to 15 June inclusive on any river, stream, drain or waterway (other than canals). With the exception of the Aire and Calder Navigation between Castleford and Ferrybridge Lock there is no statutory close season on any canals, reservoirs, lakes or ponds for coarse fish in the North East Region. However, individual owners may close their fisheries if they wish. Always check before you fish.

Caravan found - how can we find the owner?
denlin replied to Bad_Hair_Day's topic in Sheffield Camping & Caravanning
Oy, don't tar everybody with the same brush, we keep our tourer on a site and we rely on it for our holidays. If we had to get rid of it we certainly wouldn't dump it in someones car park. If you are not happy the way your owners run their site you should tell them not us -
Maybe she didn't like lying to you but if she'd come clean would you have taken the dog in? Personally I would never have let my dog go but maybe she knew you were a person she could trust to look after him and make sure he got a good home which is what you very kindly did. Obviously I don't know your friend, only you can decide her actions and motives

denlin replied to Bad_Hair_Day's topic in Sheffield Camping & Caravanning
You have three options. Either do as previous poster has said and move it off your car park as it has no right to be there and is blocking your car park spaces or bite the bullet and pay CRIS and then hope the owner will reimburse you when they collect it. TBH I think CRIS and the police are useless since it does not belong to you and has been dumped. Actually I'd try ringing the council and say it's been dumped and it's causing inconvenience to your business -
Wetherspoons food is very good and brilliant value

Ecclesfield Red Rose is your nearest, it's on Nether Lane at bottom of Chapeltown Hill https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=6&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CDwQFjAF&url=http%3A%2F%2Ffull-time.thefa.com%2FDisplayTeam.do%3Bjsessionid%3DAE8EA2EEDC79E6A3B76A72B3E02E952C%3FteamID%3D868481%26divisionseason%3D3603632&ei=ueAHVdmJDqTC7gbc_YCIAg&usg=AFQjCNEYzK6MFAQEC6iEz4iX0U9xvqSCKQ&bvm=bv.88198703,d.ZGU -
Nobody wants to view my house ! :-(
denlin replied to Bushy22's topic in Sheffield Property & Housing
I would say it is at least £50.000 overpriced if a 4 bedroomed house which looks better can't sell at £143,000 and has been on market for a year. Also OP seems to have it on market since 2008. I don't live far from Monteney and nobody will buy in this area at that price -

Car boot sale at oldcotes and buy an old cushion cover or check charity shops. There is also a craft shop at meadowhall retail park that sells all sorts

Think him and his friend have vivid imaginations, drug dealers would not try and draw attention to themselves. There's more than likely a much more plausible reason for the name but as usual people always assume the worst without a shred of erm............ evidence

Totally agree Charlie, being a leftie is not some sort of social stigma, it's being proud of your working class roots. Tony Benn was indeed a gentleman and I had the privilege to hear him speak at a CND rally in Hyde park back in the 1980s. But this thread is not about that it's about an idiot he thinks it's OK to punch somebody and then get sympathy
