  2. Well if that is the case then I apologise and you would be made welcome if you still wanted to come along. You are right fishing is supposed to be fun and Macmillan is a very good cause
  3. On more than one occasion you have admitted to illegal fishing and I quote you on this 'is there trout in the canal , might try it if there is. i have been fishing the ladybower never thought about taking a BBQ will take one tomorrow sounds good straight from the dam on to the grill, i had 12 out on feeder last wednesday they where that big you could have fed an army with them' I am not prepared to take any chances with this on our match so i'm sorry if that sounds unfriendly but I cannot compromise our match or condone illegal fishing.
  4. No Jane, we'd had diversity of prizes from handbags to tickets for Wed and United matches as well as fishing tackle in previous matches.
  5. We are having a Charity Match in aid of Rain Rescue on 20th Sept on Butts Lake at Aston Ponds. We are charging £10 per peg of which Alex has halved the normal peg fee so of the £10 £3 will go to Alex, £6 to Rain Rescue and £1 for sweepstake. There will be the usual FOC raffle for those taking part. So far Dave has 6 x £10 High St vouchers and I have 2 x £5 vouchers for Bag Up Angling but will be asking them for more and also asking my friends at Tardis Tackle for contribution. There will be prizes for all participants who are kind enough to give their money and time for this worthy cause ---------- Post added 02-08-2014 at 15:23 ---------- confirmed Davegas Big Sexy Doug Chris 412 Den Lin Graham Charlie Tony John Brian Pantin

  7. So they should have, the morons that think grass verges are OK to park on because they are too idle to walk 50 yards really annoy me. The council spend time making them look nice inly for some idiot to churn them up
  8. If that's busy I'll stand hanging, first time we've been and will be last. Back to Oldcotes
  9. Well if that's Thorpe Hesley I blinked and missed it. We got there at 7am and by 8am we were back home having our breakfast. Oh well back to Oldcotes next time. 5 hours to walk round it once.

  14. This is a terrible day for British comedy. That guy was a legend, I loved the New Statesman.
  15. The fact of the matter is that they weren't in their own garden they were in a separate building and if they could see their apartment at all times then they would have seen what happened and they were offered a free baby sitting service and declined it. I feel for Maddy but they only have themselves to blame. If they had done that over here Social Services would have stepped in, not sure why they haven't actually
  16. Just checked highway code and stopping distances are, 20mph 40ft 30mph 75ft 40mph 120ft so not sure where 45ft at 15mph came from

Take turn off signposted Roche Abbey and follow that road right to end which is a crossroads/mini roundabout, go straight across and it's on your left. It's 50p for parking before 7am or £1 after 7am. RAF Hemswell is a comination of car-boot and antique market
