On this sad day for passing of Whitney Houston just wanted to remember one of the greatest female singers who also went long before her time. Karen Carpenter http://search.mywebsearch.com/mywebsearch/redirect.jhtml?searchfor=carpenters+you+tube&cb=YR&n=77dd9441&ptnrS=YRxdm053YYgb&qid=720e933edbea48a91332800df706bbde&action=pick&ss=&pn=1&st=bar&ptb=9F647A32-3BB0-4568-8FAC-D203A89F711A&pg=GGmain&ord=1&redirect=mPWsrdz9heamc8iHEhldEcgdjfjqpMajKYmz288FhTJnuPxeiBtaClmPnTBhOz2FBu%2FUfg1ljlpS4ua1fweolA%3D%3D&ct=AR&tpr=

Getting on/off a bus with a pram
denlin replied to butterball's topic in Sheffield News & Discussions
How do you think people went on before they had these devices when the platforms were higher still?. There must be many dozens of these prams who are owned by people using buses but don't have this problem. Maybe you should change to a buggy you can handle -
I used to help out on Monfredis vans when I was at school, the driver was called Peter. Mr Softee is garbage, nothing like real ice cream:D:love:
-
Hulleys ice cream factory was at bottom of our road virtually and they used to have kiosk at top of drive dispensing the biggest ice creams (complete with flakes, sauce and hundreds and thousands) I've ever seen but maybe that was because I was only a child. Recently Oldfields which used to be at Firth Park made superb ice cream and then of course there is the bees knees in ice cream and that is Bradwells

Don't make me laugh if they got any easier you could use them as toilet tissue. I took A level English online about 3 years ago and passed without doing any work in one year when the subject used to take 2 years when I was at school. Either I'm extremely intelligent or they are not worth the paper they are written on - let's all guess which. 3 years ago I was 57 -

In the 60's I'm not sure because back then I was into the Who, Jimi Hendrix and Frank Zappa but now they are good -

The Fortunes are still going. last time we saw them at the City Hall was about 4 years ago, obviously not all originals but still great - solid silver 60's show:D:love: -
My biggest childhood memories of Blackpool tower were Reginald Dixon although I didn't know he was from Sheffield and Charlie Cairoli and his white-faced sidekick Paul. Charlie used to come into the audience with a hand-mirror to which he had stuck the face of a chimp:hihi:
