  1. Just be grateful you’ve got a bus service that’s running at the moment. Go North East buses have been on strike for five weeks and they have no plans to return to work until the 24th December. The union has rejected the company’s offer of a 10.3% pay increase. A lot of people in the North East who have lost their jobs because they are unable to get to work due to the strike would be grateful for a bus service that needs improving at the moment.
  2. Some of the women I have seen with false eyelashes look as though they’ve had a sweeping brush stuck on their eyes and they think they look good. A woman who I know has been having Botox injections and I’m sure she’s unable to smile. It doesn’t look natural. I wouldn’t have any cosmetic surgery even if it was free.
  3. Can’t remember the story of Corbyn not bowing his head. I can remember him being criticised for not wearing a poppy at the Cenotaph, turned out he was wearing a tiny little one, underneath his M&S coat.
  4. Corbyn’s M&S jacket stood out. It looked as though it had seen better days.
  5. Could be wrong about it being a donkey jacket, but Corbyn looked at mess one year when he attended the the service. Jeremy Corbyn was branded 'scruffy and disrespectful' today as he was widely mocked on social media for choosing to wear a grey anorak to the Armistice Day service at the Cenotaph
  6. Didn’t see Boris close up I think he was wearing a black suit. I recognised him tho from his blond hair. Remember when Jeremy Corbyn then leader of the Labour Party attended the service at the Cenotaph wearing a donkey jacket. I thought that was disrespectful.
  7. Can’t say I watch much of GB News. So I don’t know who the presenters are. I sometimes watch Eamon Holmes when I’m getting ready. Use to occasionally watch bits of Dan Wootton’s show, loved his accent it was so distinct.
  8. Boris and Richard Tice, leader of the Reform Party are both going to be working for GB News. Richard might ask Boris to join his party.
  9. We criticise the The Metropolitan police when they do wrong but this weekend they’ve had a major policing operation to deal with. I don’t think they have done a bad job. There wasn’t one pro Palestinian demonstrater in Newcastle today. The main streets in the centre of Newcastle were packed with people waiting for The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers Band and The North Tyneside Pipe Bands to march through the main streets after the Remembrance Service, somehow I don’t think any demonstrations would have been tolerated by the public today and I think the demonstrators knew that. There was plenty of police on the streets to.
  10. No pro Palestinian marches today in Newcastle, but plenty of muslims with placards outside some of the main shops. For the last few weeks I haven’t seen any of the Jewish Community in the centre of Newcastle, and there is a very large community of Jews up here. A neighbour who works at The Jewish Teachers Training College in Gateshead where young girls come from all over the world go to train as teachers said they are keeping a low profile. This peaceful community of Jews who cause no trouble are avoiding going into Newcastle Centre, well the more orthodox males are who stand out by wearing some kind of traditional hat covering are. They don’t want to cause trouble when the majority of muslims are marching.
  11. I like to read Pattricia's posts and I did notice she stoped posting. Hope she returns soon.
  12. I agree with Hecate. When a few posters suddenly stopped posting I thought the worst.
  13. A BBC documentary on iplayer about Christian Brueckner. The German police believe he’s responsible for Madeleine McCann’s disappearance. It examines the evidence what they are allowed to talk about. They say they have more evidence linking Brueckner to Madeleines death but are unable to talk about it while they are still building a case against him. Listening to the documentary I believe this Paedophile murdered Madeleine.
  14. I’ve copied this for you to read Al. It’s heartbreaking seeing what this strike is doing to peoples jobs, business watching old people struggling with shopping walking along the road. The unions run the country. The drivers are bing paid £70 a day while they remain on strike. I don’t think they will be in a rush to end the strike. The talks were brokered by the reconciliation service ACAS and ended after four hours when Unite walked out, Go North East said. Ben Maxfield, from the operator, said: "Passengers are facing unacceptable levels of hardship. But instead of a constructive dialogue all we get from the local Unite representatives is a set of moving goal posts, escalating demands, and a succession of U-turns." Go North East said its offer of a 10.3% pay increase would make the drivers the best paid in the region and its drivers in Manchester worked to "far more flexible" scheduling rules. Unite regional officer Dave Telford said members would not back down. "I urge Go North East to put its hands in its pocket and come up with the money that it will cost them to end this dispute - pocket change for a company making £85m in profits," he said. Mr Telford was asked by the Local Democracy Reporting Service about the impact the strikes are having on passengers. He added: "They [drivers] don't want to be on strike, they want to be taking passengers around the North East to where they need to get to. "This is a last resort and we have been frustrated because the employer will not address the pay disparity." They have already been on strike for four weeks.
  15. We could do with some AI at the moment in the North East to drive the Go North East Buses. The pesky bus drivers are on strike until the 24th December.
  16. And so you should be. Children need to be involved in the Remembrance Day Service.
  17. If you are a Freeview User you can get GB News on channel number 236
  18. I hopefully will be watch the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall, if not I’ll record it. I’ll record the laying of the poppy wreaths at the Cenotaph because I want to go to the Newcastle Remembrance Service. It was nice seeing so many young people at the service the last time I was there. How can it not bring a tear to your eyes listening to the service, whether it’s watching it on TV or at the Cenotaph in Sheffield or Newcastle. Lest We Forget
  19. Think that was Tony Abbott, good for him. Then they had to go to Indonesia.
  20. We had a few ten pound poms who migrated to Australia and New Zealand when the assisted passage was initiated by the government of those country’s. They use to post on here and said it was the best thing they did. I bet they are thanking their lucky star’s when they look at this county now. I can’t imagine Australia putting illegal immigrants in hotels, they wouldn’t even allow them in the country.
  21. Thank you Baron it sounds like an interesting watch. It will be interesting to hear what his estranged father has to say and ex employees.
  22. Thanks I will see if I can find it on iplayer. He sounds like an awful man. Power has gone to his head.
