  1. Hundreds of them in Newcastle again today, I dread to think what the police bill is. One police lady said they are prepared if they do try to disrupt the Armistice Day Service and parades.
  2. I have been to the Bakers Pool service a few times in the past and prefer it to the Newcastle one. Now I live in Newcastle I’ll be at the War Memorial Service at Eldon Square to listen to the service, thats if I can get into Eldon Square it will be packed with young and old people. The streets of Newcastle where the parades and bands march are lined with crowds of people, it’s so nice seeing all those peoples turning out to honour our war dead. The pro Palestinian protesters are threatening to disrupt the Armistice Day service. I just hope they keep away.
  3. That is something I will definitely agree with. After all these years he is still the king.
  4. I’ve watched it before and I’ll probably watch it again at some stage. It is fantastic. Why did he have to die at such a young age.
  5. They do say it’s not what you know, it’s who you know.
  6. There’s been large pro Palestinian protests In Newcastle for the last few weeks on a Saturday, there’s another today, so far they have been peaceful. I have been told that there will be a pro Palestinian protest in Newcastle Remembrance Day Sunday. I do hope this protest does not go ahead because this will cause anger amongst the people, me included, who will be there to honour our war dead. The Government needs to ban all protests on Armistice Day. It’s disrespectful to the soldiers who died for our freedom.
  7. Rudds 1 has got the best solution. The only person I blame is the murderers.
  8. I’ve been told Flora does a healthier sandwich than Marge.
  9. If I was offered a free place on a space tourist rocket or a tourism sub to view the Titanic it would be a definite no! What are the chances of being rescued if something went wrong while in space or at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean?
  10. I agree not a pleasant way to die if you start to vomit after taking an overdose.
  11. I would like to see the vote passed in the Isle of Man. That’s what we all want a peaceful death. Hopefully if it’s passed Parliament will once more allow MPs a vote on assisted dying.
  12. There is a lot of people concerned about immigration and people crossing the channel on small boats. If the numbers are not reduced it will be Governments downfall and so it should be.
  13. It will be interesting to see when Boris joins GB News if he will support Rishi Sunak as next PM. I think Johnson wants revenge. Richard Tice, leader of the Reform party has joined GB News not sure if he has his own show. Tice might persuade Johnson to join the Reform party.
  14. A lovely story as always from you cuttsie and enjoyed reading it. Sex education, in my opinion, should start before a child reaches puberty which can be from the age of 11 for boys and girls. Nature at its worst when the average age for girls to start Menstruation is 11 or 12 years old.
  15. I hope you feel better soon. You don’t sound as though you’ve lost your appetite, 2 Greggs sausage rolls and a tin of baked beans that’s a good sign, they do say you should feed a cold tho. Make sure you have plenty of hot drinks to flush the cold out, I like Ribena with hot water when I have a cold. Hopefully you will be feeling a lot better by the weekend. How’s that for a bit of sympathy?
  16. Enjoyed reading this thread some of the posts are funny.
  17. There was a large pro Palestinian demonstration in Newcastle centre last week and today, loud speakers being used and plenty of Palestinian flags being waved. The demonstration started at The Earl Grey Monument where they were suppose to stay but they started to walk up Northumberland Street and stood outside M&S blocking the entrance to the store. A few people complained to the police to move them, a policeman said they haven’t got the manpower to move them on, however I think the police managed to clear them from the entrance of M&S. The demonstrators then started to to chant, racist police. The best the police could do was to follow the march. A few police officers had cameras recording what was being shouted on the loud speakers, I suspect in case they chanted support for Hamas There’s a large Jewish community up here who cause no trouble at all. However I don’t think there has been any reports of hate crimes so far.
  18. It was on TV that Hamas had many tunnels underneath hospitals, schools and mosques so I wouldn't be surprised if weapons where stored there.
  19. Putin has called on the United Nations to intervene and stop the violence in the Israel and Gaza conflict, he wants a humanitarian ceasefire. He’s concerned about the number of civilian casualties in Gaza. This is the man who bombed maternity hospitals and killed innocent people in Ukraine.
  20. You could be right about it not being the second largest Jewish community in the country. I was told by someone who works at the Jewish Teaching College in Gateshead that it’s the second largest Orthodox community outside London.
  21. There’s also extra police patrols in parts of Gateshead next to Newcastle which has the second largest Jewish community in the country. They just live a peaceful life and cause no trouble to anyone.
  22. There was something on the news that government is looking at renting prison cells overseas for the most dangerous offenders. Doesn’t looks as though we can send the illegal immigrants who cross the channel to Rwanda, we might do better at sending dangerous British prisoners there to serve there prison time. I think the human rights brigade will put a stop to this.
