There has been many balcony appearances over the years with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family. From weddings, coronations and celebrating the end of the Second World War. This is going to be an extra special one when the Queen stands on the balcony with a crowded Mall and other countries watching her. God bless the Queen and long live the monarchy.

I do believe he will be a good King and time will tell. Look at some of his charity's such as The Princes Trust. He cares about the younger generation. I don't know anything about the cash for honours. Has he been found guilty or is it just accusations?

Charles will make a good King with Camila by his side as Queen. In the 70s people called him dotty because he talked about plastic waste in the oceans and pollution. They laughed even louder when he said one day we will have to address this problem. How right he was. This forward thinking man will do just fine when he is King .

After what we have gone through over the past few years the last thing we need is a civil war when the queen dies. At least we don’t chop heads off anymore in this country as they did to Charles 1. When the Queen dies I want to keep the Monarchy. When Charles becomes King I’m sure he will slim down the monarchy. Over the last 40 years the royal family have reinvented themselves and they will continue to do so. They are more approachable. I for one hope they continue to survive.

Would Meghan have looked twice at Harry if he wasn’t a member of the Royal Family? I don’t think she would. However when they married I did think with William, Kate, Harry and Meghan the Royal Families future was that bit more secure but as it turned out Meghan had other plans for her future. A lot of people in this country respected their decision to leave the Royal Family but once they did the Oprah interview airing their grievances in public they lost a lot of that respect. In the interview she claimed her and Harry were secretly married by the Archbishop days before the wedding. The Archbishop gave a statement saying he did not marry them days before their wedding. Harry claimed Charles cut him off financially after he and Meghan stepped down as senior royals but expenditure reports were published to prove he did not cut him off straight away. Should their Netflix contract dry up I can see Meghan entering politics, she’s already been approached by the Democrat party who said they would welcome her with open arms. You have to be good at telling porkies to be a politician, something she has proved she can do. All I can say is, God Bless America, if she decides to enter politics. Senator Meghan here she comes.

This thread reminds me of a science fiction TV series called His Dark Materials. It was good and I’m hoping there will be another series. Every human has an animal called a daemon which is part of their soul. It can be any type of animal, for example cat, dog, snake, rat or monkey. However they must keep their daemon close to them and never be more than a few yards from them if not they could die. I’m beginning to think this programme might not be as far fetched as I thought. I can see people walking in shops with snakes round their necks and tigers by their side talking to them as they do in His Dark Materials.

I had to wait outside because I’m allergic to cats. I read the cafe rules while I waited outsides. You must not pick the cats up. Don’t pull the cats tails. Do not give the cats food and a few other rules which I can’t remember. If this bloke wins his case against Sainsbury’s and people start to take their cats in the shops then my old covid face coverings might come in handy to help with cat allergies.

The prison service is already overstretched. When you hear stories of violent criminals and paedophiles being sent to prison for a few years to reduce the burden on the prison system it’s annoying. There are other ways of punishing Becker without sending him to prison. He’s not a violent person but he is a fool and he does deserve to be punished. I would have given him full time community service and also put a tag on him if that’s not enough.

I remember reading about Becker having sex with a woman in the broom cupboard in a restaurant. He had never met her before and as a result of that one night stand she became pregnant. That brief dalliance cost him millions of pounds.

If Harrods can open a beauty shop in The Metrocentre at Gateshead a few miles from Newcastle I can’t see why shops such as Harvey Nichols and Selfridges, on a smaller version, can’t do the same in Sheffield. I agree with you that there isn’t a market for those type of shops in Sheffield City Centre but Meadowhall is a different story. The Metrocentre up here is like a ghost town in parts, you can walk along one of the upper floors and most of the shops are boarded up. Some of it due to the covid lockdowns but not all. I can’t say the same about Meadowhall which is much nicer and busier. Yes they have normally done it in blocks of two. I was hoping they would play all remaining episodes of season 11 after Christmas but I’ll just have to be patient and wait for the remaining 8 episodes. I have read that there is going to be some spin-offs of The Walking Dead involving various actors.

There is about 250 woman MPs in Parliament so there has been some changes over the years. I don’t think Parliament is the old boys club that it use to be.

I heard someone say on the Sunday Morning Politics show that Putin has warned the UK they will have a new nuclear missile ready by autumn that will be pointed in the direction of the UK. I already though Russia had weapons of mass destruction that was capable of reaching the UK and America. It this a more deadly weapon we are being threatened with? Putin says it will be a present for NATO. It now makes me wonder where will this all end.

The Split. All episodes are on iplayer. I watched the third and final series on iplayer. I’ve enjoyed watching this programme and I’m sorry that there isn’t going to be a series 4 about these high powered, mainly female, divorce lawyers. Nicola Walker is the main actress in the programme.

Wasn’t it Major and a few others who took us into the Exchange Rate Mechanism after they got rid of Mrs Thatcher. Thatcher warned them about losing control of interest rates, one of the reasons she refused to join the ERM. I remember the interest rates going up each day until we had to come out of it after a week or so. A very worrying time for me wondering how I was going to pay my mortgage.

The Walking Dead season 11 This is the last season they are making. After Rick Grimes left in season 9, l didn’t enjoy watching it as much. However the last 8 episodes of series 11 hasn’t been to bad to watch. We have to wait to watch the series finale 8 episode which is going to be on at the end of year, I think. I don’t know why they don’t just put all episodes of season 11 on in one go instead of stretching it out. It would be nice if Rick Grimes made a return to be in the final 8 episodes.
