Yes I agree with you on that one but I’m not sure the prices came back down when the shelves were full once more.

The supermarkets did okay during the Covid lockdown and during the slow reopening of pubs and restaurants. The shelves that sold alcohol, especially beer always looked empty. Also companies who manufactured toilet rolls, bleach, hand sanitiser and various other cleaning products must have done okay. You couldn’t find those things for love or money on the shelves during the first covid lockdown. Prices when up on those products due to the shortage created by the greedy public.

Well I’m not going to take this poll seriously. I expected Newcastle upon Tyne where I live to be in the top ten and it’s just made it. You only have to walk past the railway station to see the hundreds of stags and hens arriving for their boozy weekend during spring and summer. Just about every pub and night club has bouncers on the door. That’s a good tip from hackey lad to avoid those places. Newcastle and the Quayside is definitely not a place for me at the weekend. However there are some lovely places to have a night out on the Northumbrian coast. Sunderland which is about 12 miles from Newcastle had come higher up the poll than Sheffield, unbelievable! The only two decent pubs I can think of in the town centre both belong to Wetherspoons. Think I’d take this poll like taking a pinch of salt.

Gentleman Jack. I love this historical drama based on a true story. There is some good acting particularly from Suranne Jones who plays the main part.

Yes I’m aware that we have changed leaders during various wars. Churchill was probably the best choice of PM who got us through the Second World War. It’s just my opinion that the last thing we need is another leadership challenge.

But I also feel the same about the Labour Party.

Because I really don’t know who could take over from Johnson.

I think West77 had just answered what I think.

Unless there is a vote of no confidence against Johnson then I feel we should wait until the next general election which isn’t to long, just over 2 years. Then we the people can use our bit of democracy and decide who should be in Downing St. The last thing the country needs at the moment is a leadership challenge and general election, but that doesn’t mean to say that I will vote for the Conservatives at the next election.

Killing Eve season 4 The first few episodes of this season were a bit slow but it did pick up towards the end of the series. Over all I’ve enjoyed this programme even though it could be a bit blood thirsty at times for me. This is the last series they are making so I was disappointed with how it ended, for me it ended on a cliffhanger. All episodes are on iplayer.

Can’t say I like Saturday Night Take Away, but if there is someone on the show who I like then I will record it and pick parts I want to watch. Having said that I do like Ant and Dec. I agree with Padders about YouTube I’ve watched some good things on there. I’ve watched Morecambe and Wise on YouTube and they are funny. This day and age people are easily offended by what they see on TV so I can’t imagine Morecambe and Wise being allowed to have a show today using similar material, they would have to modify their show for the society we now live in.

If we do become a cashless society I do hope the technology that’s needed to allow us to become one is well protected from cyber attacks.

I knew a couple who had two boys born in the same year. I remember thinking the woman didn’t have much time for her body to recover from her last pregnancy and they certainly didn’t have any fertility problems. They didn’t have any more children after that.

Thank you I did enjoy watching it again, actually I watched it a few times. I thought Brendan’s version of the Bolero was one of the best I’ve seen on this show.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the final. The three finalists deserved to be there. I’m pleased I got to see Brendan dancing to Bolero, he was very good. Pattricia was right about Regan winning the competition, he is a good dancer and youth was on his side.

Should the Russian professional dancers be allowed to remain in the show or not? They are being asked to express their disapproval of Putin, but would their families in Russia be safe if they did? They can’t help where they are born. I have a feeling we won’t be seeing them in the next show dancing with the Ukrainian pros.

The Last Kingdom season 5 It can be a bit blood thirsty at times for me but I have enjoyed watching it. This is the last season they are making however there is going to be a The Last Kingdom film which is expected to be realised next year.

Thanks for confirming Brendan had a fall. I did hear the judges say he was marked down because of his mistake but wasn’t quite sure if he had a fall. I think Kimberly could win the competition and as I’ve already said we haven’t had a woman win the show for a while. I hope the best skater on the night wins, whoever it is.

I’m looking forward to the finale. I’d love to see Brendan Cole skate to Bolero, even if he doesn’t win the competition, because his dancing skills should come in handy if he gets the chance. But I have a feeling he will be the first to be eliminated therefore he won’t be dancing to Bolero. It’s normally the top two who go forward to dance Bolero. I suppose I should say may the best skater on the night wins the competition.
