Can’t say I believe in God, but I do find the that gigantic sculpture of The Angel of the North in Gateshead feels almost spiritual when driving past it or if I’m sat on the bus going past it.. This photo might just bring a peaceful presence on the Sheffield Forum for a few minutes.

I’m not sure how accurate the prediction polls are but they are saying that Labour could wipe out nearly all the political parties, winning the largest majority since the Second World War. It’s a lot of power for any political party and if that’s the case it seems to me they can do what they like once they become the government, unless their backbenchers decide not to vote for some of there policies and start to rebel against the Prime Minister. It’s going to be an interesting time in politics in the future.

Trooping the Colour - I recorded this spectacular pageantry and watched it last night. What a shame about the rain, however it did stop for the fly past over Buckingham Palace. -

Dr Michael Mosley missing-authorities searching,

Can't say I have watched this man on TV but the name sounds familiar. If he was walking in a heatwave it could have caused a heart attack. Just have to wait until there has been a post mortem. -
Before the lockdown and the constant increases in food I was going into a large Asda supermarket. A lady was in the car park pushing a trolly that appeared to be full of children’s clothes inside it. A security lady stopped her and took the trolly off her then asked her to come back into the store, she refused and said I don’t think so, slowly she walked away from security minus the trolly. The security lady said we are not allowed to force anyone back into the store and the police won’t come out if we phone them. Having said that the police do come out if known syndicate’s of thieves are operating in the store. Since then Asda has improved its security by adding more barriers. I agree the police don’t have the resources for shop lifting and I would prefer them to spend what resources they have on violent crime. It is up to the supermarkets to do more to try and prevent shoplifting.

I’m off to do a free shop at Asda today. Mr Farage said you can’t get prosecuted for nicking less than £200 worth of goods. Is this a joke? No wonder food prices are going up. This is what he said last night on the BBC You can go out and nick up to 200 quid’s worth without being prosecuted,” he said. “We are seeing a decline, a societal decline of law and order in this country and, frankly, government and the police forces are being too scared of what needs to be done.”

We have got a thread in the History section, D Day 80th Anniversary I think SheffieldForum should movie it to the General Section or vice versa and combine it as one.

Lesley Pearse, The Woman In The Wood. In this fiction story we have 13 year old twins, a boy and girl, there mother is taken to an asylum. A cold hearted grandmother, a lady who is a recluse who lives in a cabin in the woods and a serial killer. Not bad but the story is predictable.

I use to find it strange that they do a pop up seaside on Newcastle Quayside when the coast is only about 9 miles from the quayside and well serviced by the metro and buses which takes just over 20 minutes by metro train to the coast. But it seems to be popular with families.

There’s Only One Rob Burrow I found this documentary heartbreaking to watch, what a brave man he was. -
The person who threw the milkshake over Nigel Farage should be prosecuted and that goes for all politicians who are out on the campaign trail, which ever party they are from. For a few seconds they have no idea what has been thrown at them, it could be a harmful substance. If I was a politician campaigning in the streets I’d be very nervous.

Yes I agree with you on that one.

Thank heavens a magician or comedian didn’t win Britain’s got talent this year, I’m pleased Sydnie Christmas, or what ever her name is, won the competition, she has a lovely voice.
