The last l heard Captain Tom has raised over £12 million and Pierce Morgan said today, no single person has raised that amount of money for charity before. So well done Captain Tom and I think you are going to raise a lot more money. I agree with rudds1. I would like to see him nominated for a medal and presented to him by the Queen because he seems to have a lot of respect for her.

The Nest. I’ve enjoyed watching this programme. I was expecting a sad ending but there wasn’t one, it was emotional but a happy ending for me. Hope they make another series.

I’ve watched the first episode of series 3 on iplayer. Didn’t expect it to end how it did though.

The Good Karma Hospital. It’s the third series and I’ve enjoyed every one. It’s sad at times but the landscape it great. Makes you think of long hot summer days.

I remember my mum taking me in a cafe that was built of wood, it was on the corner of Snig Hill and Castle Street, just above where theThe Police Headquarters is now. They did a lovely instant all milk coffee and egg salad roll sandwich. Was it called, The New Stand Cafe? I remember going in one with that name but it could be somewhere else.

A friend of mine told me she went to Curry’s PC World in Gateshead and the salesperson said there has been a big rise in freezer sales, especially chest freezers because of the coronavirus.

Has the coffee crop failed this year? That usually puts the price up if this is the case. Will just have to wait and see if other coffee brands go up.

I don’t think MPs are overpaid. I remember reading a few years ago Council Executives and some department heads use to get paid more than MPs, some of their salaries was above a hundred thousand a year. I’m all in favour of cutting back on The House of Lords expenses, there’s to many of them.

I think it is called Carnation condensed milk now.

Fortunately I don’t get many nuisance calls on my landline. When someone does call me it always goes to recorded message and I then listen to who it is, if I am in the house, before deciding if I want to talk to them. If no one leaves a message and just puts the phone down I don’t bother to check the last number to see who it is. Therefore I am the one who has control over who I want to talk to.

I like Beamish Museum, you get a good idea what life was like living in 1820, 1910 and 1940s.

I agree with you on this. It’s time to educate people to stop having large families to save the planet.

I remember reading a few years ago about Local Councils selling personal information from the electoral register to private companies. It makes you wonder it scammers buy a copy.

I definitely agree with you on that one.

I only really watch Ant and Dec on Britains Go Talent and I think they are good. I watched the end of their show on Saturday when the Pussycat Dolls were on and it made me laugh when Ant and Dec were trying to censor their performance. They do a lot of charity work up here in Newcastle, which is their home town, with young people and I was told they visit hospitals and care homes when they are in the area.

I’m sure the Earth has endured hotter temperatures than we will ever experience when Dinosaurs walked the planet. Scientists say Antarctica was once a tropical forest. Our Planet has already seen global warming before. I don’t believe it’s all down to mankind who is causing climate change. I think the temperature is changing all of the time on our planet but mankind is speeding it up.

The Redheugh Tyne Bridge, which links Gateshead and Newcastle has been known to close when there are strong winds blowing over the River Tyne. I think it’s safer to use the Tyne Tunnel instead of all of the Tyne Bridges when we have stormy weather. If they ever do build a Scottish and Irish bridge they want to make sure it’s designed to withstand the extreme weather conditions we seem to be getting. If I was a lorry driver I’m not sure I’d like to drive over it in bad weather
