Then let’s give her another chance. She might just surprise you. I didnt think she acted like a spoilt child in the last show. How she fell I’m surprised she didn’t hurt herself. Had it been me I would have been laid on the floor in shock.

A few years ago, 2017 I think, extreme weather conditions In Spain, Greece and other EU countries had their crops of fruit and vegetables destroyed by extreme weather conditions. Here in the UK shelves were empty of these products, because we bought most of them from EU countries. What few fruit and vegetables there was in the supermarkets had to be rationed. This went on for a week or so and then all of a sudden shelves were full of these products. None of them came from the EU. The supermarkets worked quickly with none EU countries and our shelves were once more full of fruit and vegetables. The prices did go up at first, then they started to come down after a few weeks, once the supermarket shelves were overflowing with fruit and greens from none EU countries. I’m sure it can be done again until things are sorted with the EU, if ever.

Whether you like G Collins or not. It took a lot of guts to get straight back up after that fall, and carry on as though nothing had happened with a smile on her face.

Remember the six million .

There has been a Holocaust Memorial Services here in Newcastle at the Cathedral. At the other side of the Tyne is Gateshead, where there is a large Jewish community, it’s suppose to be the second largest outside London. The Jews have lived here for years peacefully. As I was told by a policeman and some locals you never see them in trouble with the Law. Some say there was a lot more than six million murdered by the Nazis. The Diary of Ann Frank should be taught in school. -
I was at a Leave means Leave rally, which was a full house in Gateshead, and I was very impressed with Kate Hoey, a very good speaker. She said there will be no pleasing the EU bureaucrats with the Northern Ireland backstop. They will find something to complain about what ever government tries to do. She also said we didn’t spend 30 years stopping the IRA killing soldiers and police in order to get a united Ireland. Morrisons and Wetherspoons are already buying products from outside the EU Incase there is a no deal. They must realise it’s a waste of time negotiating with the EU, we have gone as far as we can. Time to walk away.

Second World War Memorial Vandalised
hauxwell replied to hauxwell's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
People will have there own opinion about war memorials and what they mean to them. For me it’s the sacrifice made by so many for our freedom and also for young people to understand the sacrifices made by past generations. When I walk past the cenotaph in Sheffield on my many visits and the one in Newcastle where I live I think of local communities affected by war and the fear that those men must have experienced when going into battle, whether it be land sea or air. I would never want to see a war memorial used as a celebration. You are right to remind people that not all Bomber Command activity was heavy bombing of civilian targets. -
Torvil and Dean are going to be dancing on ice this Sunday. I don’t think they are bad for there age. I’m looking forward to seeing them dance again.

Window cleaning with "smart" water?
hauxwell replied to RiffRaff's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
I clean my windows with washing up liquid and tap water about once a month and I have to work really hard to make sure there is no smear marks when drying them. My neighbour has a window cleaner who comes once a month, they use a pole and pure water. I have never seen a mark on their windows, they stay clean longer than mine. When the sun shines on my windows you can see some smear marks, never seen them on my neighbours. Annie Bynnol is correct when saying smart water is better than tap water. -
Second World War Memorial Vandalised
hauxwell replied to hauxwell's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
There is people who believe that their campaign was controversial because of the number of civilians who lost their life, but they didn’t start the war. If Hitler wasn’t defeated how many civilians would he go on to murder? If they do catch the despicable people who sprayed the paint then we might get answers. -
White paint has been sprayed over a memorial of Bomber Command in Green Park London and it’s not the first time this has happened. This memorial is for the the fifty six thousand men who lost their life and men who served in Bomber Command during WW2. These were young men who had to go out night after night and face danger so we could live our way of life. Who could do such a thing? I hope they catch the people who vandalised the sculptor.

What does the brain know about the body?
hauxwell replied to Janus's topic in Padders' Bar: General Discussions
For ladies with a moustache there are a few things on the market. Laser hair removal which is suppose to be permanent. Also creams that remove hair, which isn’t permanent. Waxing which I suspect can be painful. -
I’m not sure how many EU countries are in favour of Turkey joining the EU, but if there is only one, then that is one to many for me. If the EU has had talks with Turkey, even if it was in the past and mulling with idea of Turkey joining, then that alone for me is one good reason to leave the EU. I do believe at some stage in the future the EU will start talks with Turkey about membership of the EU.

I was thinking the same as Top Cats Hat. I also thought he would have had a bodyguard with him.
