Memories of "The Limit" Nightclub

does any one remember the limt?

did anybody go to the limt but can't remember!!!

I went to the Limit once, but never again. I was too scared!

When people have to drink out of plastic glasses then you have to worry.

I went in once or twice as a youth.

I remember a few dodgy characters but never experienced any bother.

Went in a few times in the late seventies but preferred Crazy Daizy and Top Rank.

The best years of my youth were spent in The Limit.Brilliant brilliant music,we used to go mad to Killing Joke, Spear Of Destiny,Joy Division etc.

Cheap drink & a collection of wierd & wonderful people.

Happy days.

I know lots of people who were regulars and remember it fondly - mind you, they're all pretty mad!

I am typing this reply right on the ground were the Limit stood.

I now work in the building on that very sight.

spacehopper, I'm pretty sure it was the end of october 1990 - it's taken some working out though, my memories of those days are shot!

Used to go there in the early 80s but remember taking some friends from work there in later years. When we entered we thought it was empty but then realised that everybody, and I mean everybody, was dressed in black and they just blended into the black decor.

The bouncer in the early days was scary. He used to wear one black leather glove and gripped a short iron bar. Don't remember there ever being trouble at the door.

We were selling Limit T shirts at the Classic rock bar recently. Can get some more if anyone is interested. See me or Sass at the meet on 2nd Oct.
