GLASGOWOODS
Well said, Hendersons tastes like its laced with chemicals, yuk, horrible sweet sickly stuff. I reckon there is a secret ingredient in it responsible for a large proportion of Sheffielders being idiots. Even the Lidl Worcester Sauce is better than Hendersons ---------- Post added 30-09-2017 at 23:07 ---------- I have had two that caught fire, common problem i was told by an appliance engineer. There are comparable machines on the market now at a much lower price ---------- Post added 30-09-2017 at 23:10 ---------- Now around these parts ... Rick Steins fish and chip restaurants. Its now a franchise and damn expensive at that. At £13 for fish and chips, not all that good I hasten to add, I'd want Rick Stein cooking it at my table. Best fish n chips I've had is In Ullapool. Boat comes in offloads fish, carried 100yards to chippy, gutted and thrown in the fryer. Don't get much fresher than this.
AmberLeaf
I've just tek'n agin him! I'm going to have to overcome it though, I really fancy seeing the new Bladerunner. Me too. I'd quite like to see the 80's Blade Runner too. ---------- Post added 01-10-2017 at 06:28 ---------- Oysters. Once the staple of your average man in the street. Like slurping snot with a dash of catarrh. Nah, I don't fancy the sound of them either.
The Joker
Me too. I'd quite like to see the 80's Blade Runner too. Not me. I thought Blade Runner was over rated. I expect a sci-fi classic to have aliens and epic space battles. This had none Maybe my standards are too high. Ridley Scott has made many classics, but he’s made the odd turkey too. pattricia
Have you ever been disappointed in a town or place you've been to , maybe on holiday.? I found Eastbourne very clean and picturesque, but Weymouth was dirty and disappointing.

Some parts of Majorca are stunningly beautiful but with tiny, very dirty beaches, e.g. The southerly parts of Cala D'Or
focemal
Oysters. Once the staple of your average man in the street. Like slurping snot with a dash of catarrh. They were at one time poor persons food. Some servants applying for jobs at big houses wouldn't work there if the servants were fed seafood or would stipulate no seafood as a condition of employment. Some employers had to give in because they couldn't get the staff Dr Samuel Johnson famously used to feed then to his cat. It is interesting how poor persons food has been seized upon by the rich and trendy nowadays.
Cyclone
They certainly used to be cheaper, but they were eaten by all walks of life. You might be confusing them with the lobster, which was a food for the servants. https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/foodanddrink/a-potted-history-of-the-oyster-in-london-a3082696.html
