I think on a weekend No 1 goes to about a tenner but its worth it, esp if you can eat a tenners worth of the stuff - and I can

Just been on the phone with them, its £6.50 and they r open until 10.30... I think I will take a lesson off Andy Pipkin (Little Britain) and say 'I want that one...' lol

Thanks.

Jumbo's Personally i wouldn't touch the snap in there with a lepers fingers

The one on Commerical Street isn't bad and Wokmania is supposed to be the best.

The best Chinese takeaway in Sheffield has to be the Canton King on Middlewood Road, massive portions, you could feed a family of 10 on Beef Chow Mein, Fried Rice and Chips, and its nice snap as well

ok,

* No. 1 - has the best food but unfortunatly is like and army mess hall and has absolutly no atmosphere.

*Jumbo - Chinese staff and (mostly) oriental music (spomething i like in a chinese restaurant!)...good price. ok food. ok choice. charge for water

*Wokmania - Gave me mate food poisoning. 10% tip AUTOMATICALLY added to your bill. damn comfy chairs. takeshis castle on tvs. nice atmosphere but either undercooked or overcooked food. re-fillable soft drinks

---tbh, im not sure if ill go to either again. wokmania is a big no no, due to me not wanting to be obligated into tipping. Jumbo seems to get worse with every visit.....and i feel like a refugee at No/1

Why don't you go to a chinese restaurant, and do a 'share your meal' thing ? Pick a few dishes with a portion of rice to share will still cost less than 2 ppl for a buffet !

I don't understand the attraction of these buffets. If you see any chinese there it is because they're probably students. You would not catch me in there.

If you want okay prices, why not try Vietnamese noodle bar on London Rd. As well as the Noodle Inn on the same road. Or go for a set menu in Wong Ting which can work out cheaper than a tenner per person if you go in a large group.
