scania
So it seems Mr Vaz wants to ban the Christmas coke truck from visiting Leicester this year. He claims it advocates the popular fizzy drink as OK, but says the drink has too much sugar and is a major cause of obesity and tooth decay. Is he being a killjoy?? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-34718933

999tigger
Dont much care, seems more like headline grabbing, but then the truck is doing the same. Would he ban burger or sweet vans?
GLASGOWOODS
Maybe he could have a word with all the fat busting takeaways about Leicester whiles he's on a crusade. The mans an idiot!!
Mister M
Well he's right that fizzy drinks are a major cause of tooth decay and obesity. But people have choices, & if they want to be fat & have their teeth rotting out of their head, that's up to them / their parents.

I agree that people have a choice, and to be fair Coke do have a range of zero sugars pop that is very popular. The red truck has been part of a lot of families Christmases, and regardless of what he thinks, its a bit over the top to tell Coke their truck is not welcome in Leicester. Next thing, he will be blaming his own type 2 diabetes on too many mince pies, and urging people to not buy them. The man is a party pooping humbug. alchresearch
Or is he just wanting to ban another reference to Christmas? Didn't Coca Cola create the stereotypical Santa we all know (red jacket, beard) or is that an urban myth?
