JarvisCocker
I know its on Shalesmoor and that it was first open in the 60's, but that's about it..... Has anyone been? Does anyone know any more about it. Do you just turn up or do you have to be invited? and whats it like, what music etc?

jake
Is not a club - just somewhere some musicians have got together as a rehearsal/jam space. There have been occasional private parties there but thats about as far as it goes.

muddycoffee
I think of it more of a collective of musicians, than a venue. It is not a club, more like a private practice room.

DEAFMELONJEF
Opened in 1960 by guy name of Terry Thornton. Admission fee. NOT just a jamming gig or rehearsal studio. Soft drinks only. Dave Berry appeared a lot along with most local bands of that time (not many about then!). Played the place many times myself. Premises were the cellars of a disused pub on Shalesmoor. It was FIRST venue of its type in Sheffield. Terry went on to open the Esquire club (Played there too) and closed Club 60. Jim Hardie
Johnny Dankworth & Cleo Laine played Club 60. It was in the cellar of the Acorn pub.
