Firstly, a warm thank you to all that made it down for the birthday shindig - I hope you all had as good a time as we did! Secondly, our gratitude and thanks to Penelope’s for hosting the last four Diasha events.

To keep you all entertained over the long summer months in Sheffield we’ve put together something a little different, and its all happening at one of our favourite city boozers…

In partnership with the East Midlands based art collective Subism, we are pleased to bring to you ‘Diasha Loves Subism’, a night of live art and music!

Hailing from Derby, Subism brings together some of the UK’s finest illustrators and graffiti artists to produce outstanding and breathtaking pieces of bespoke art. The collective are also responsible for Subism Live…a concept in which live art is brought to the party. Over the course of the ‘Diasha Loves Subism’ evening you can expect to see artists including Rocket01, Faunagraphic, Phill Blake, N4T4 and more including special guests, complete illustrated and graffiti pieces and a live mural!

Providing a musical backdrop to all of this and blurring the lines between hip-hop, soul, broken-beat and house will be a few friends. First up we have special guests Atjazz and Clyde. Martin ‘Atjazz’ Iveson needs little introduction as this will be his third appearance at Diasha. The last time Martin appeared many will remember him playing on four decks alongside Charles Webster as Version - that was a great night! Since then Martin has enjoyed high profile gigs at East Village London, Club Goa Madrid with Motor City Drum Ensemble and Southport Weekender, where his recent remix of Fred Everything’s ‘Mercyless’ was a weekend anthem.

Clive Astin aka Clyde is an original associate of the Mantis Records camp and long time collaborator of Atjazz. A producer and vocalist of some revere Clive has worked alongside San Francisco’s Capitol A (The Roots, King Britt and Jazzanova) and MOBO award winner Phoebe One. Responsible for the massive hit ‘Serve It Up’ a few years back, his recent hits include the Trusme favourite ‘Roll of the Beast’ and the futuristic jerky beats of ‘Read My Mind’, which is gaining strong support from Domu, Ame, Simbad and Boddhi Satva.

Support comes from Alex Cooke, Sheffield’s Dan J and Subism and Pseudo 54 favourite Scott Thompson.

Making sure everyone feels welcome will be Shelly and Kerry from The Earl, serving up the best Caribbean food straight from the BBQ all night!

Hope you can make it!
