How do I encourage my own cat to foul in my garden?

"The most important thing you can do is to provide an attractive toilet area in your garden for your cat. If possible, choose a sheltered area of your garden and encourage your cat to use it for their toilet. Sprinkle some used cat litter (containing his or her own scent) and keep the area dug over. Once they start to use it, it will soon become a habit".

I found the above advice from one of the local council sites.

It may make you a better neighbour if you keep your cats from fouling the neighbourhood.

Not getting at anyone here - just trying to be helpful to owners.

I have a litter box as well as the current one with compost in, asda 1 pound a bag. When used put in borders and kitten will start to use area.

mine seem to do it by the conifers i dont mind it but i do other cats that are not mine doing theres too i just keep it dug they like the soft dirt although ny cat seems to thro it all over when he is digging

Best method I know of getting them to use the garden is to buy some really expensive delicate plants and plant them in the garden. Before you know it, each one will be individually fertilised!

good thinking not that it would help, more the type of people to not care. guess i will have to keep scaring it off.
