gingerpuss Posted February 26, 2012 Share Posted February 26, 2012 I have just noticed (6.30pm) that the top sections of the Arts Tower are being illuminated from inside by phasing coloured lights - it looks beautiful. I remember about six or eight years ago, they blocked the windows with yellow transparent paper or film to make a "Marie Curie Cancer Care" daffodil symbol. (My granddaughter loved to see that one!) They blank out windows to spell "RAG ___" ( Insert year of choice) I also seem to remember, some years ago they did a mickey-take of "Tetris" with the different shapes created by the windows being lit/ blanked out. Does anyone else remember when the Hallam Tower Hotel used to have giant flashing xmas decorations, we could see them right across the valley.
