Lockjaw
Hiya. I thought it might be nice to have a thread where half of the posters talk about where they're going to go out to next Saturday and the other half bitch about celebrating another country's patron saint & why don't we celebrate our own and so on. We, since you ask, are playing at the Peaks Inn in Castleton. ... well, it's near Sheffield.
eventswithUS
If you're stuck for things to do on St Paddy's Day, why not enjoy a night of Gaelic fun at The Common Room, University House? Popular Irish band The Curragh Sons will be singing all your favourites and you'll get an Irish Supper too! They've put an offer on their website too - tickets were £15 each, but if you book now, you can get two for £20 For more information about the offer, or to book your tickets, call Lindsay Wilson on 0114 222 8999. Lockjaw
Fifteen quid!? No ... don't do it! Go to a pub ... Find one with a band on ... It'll be free! If you don't want to travel to Castleton, for instance, try the Red Deer or Fagins; All bar one even...

Much better value than free, especially if you get to go to the Common Room rather than The Red Deer:) /sarcasm

You are suggesting that people who are think it's a good idea to pay that much will be clever enough to be able to sucker someone in to sharing the 20 quid for two offer with them?
