Good Dog Pubs (with food)

Can anybody recommend any good pubs that allow dogs and serve food.

There's a couple out at Edale and Hathersage, but does anybody know of any closer to Sheffield?

And does anybody know where we can take the dog to watch the footy? (premiership matches, mostly)

I've been in the Fat cat with ma dags before. Two greyhounds and a lurcher. The women behind the bar said it was fine, dunno if thats all the time or only when it quiet.

Great beer, excellent food, crackin atmosphere.

Devonshire Arms, Herries Road........full of dogs most nights!

Wortley Arms, old country pub, Wortley and surrounding area is great for dog walking.

Bit further out but The Rockingham Arms at Wentworth is dog friendly and serves good food.

They actually do sunday lunches specifically for dogs!!

We've tried the Cricket Inn, Penny Lane, Totley. That's quite good, and you get lots of dogs in there. Brude loves making friends!

If ever you're out in Derbyshire, the Red Lion in Litton does great food - and dogs are very welcome. In fact, they're more welcome than kids!

Three Merry Lads maybe? In town the Kelham Island Tav also does food, excellent beer, and I've definately seen dogs there as well. Foods simple, but it's worth it for the beer, and the lovely surroundings.

On a similar topic, does anyone know if the Rising Sun on Abbey Lane allows four-legged friends through the door? It's soon to be our local pub - and Jazz the mutt will be most displeased if she's not allowed the occasional half of bitter!
