Sharrowvale Parking Scheme - new thread

Recommended Posts

Previously, you've used non-repondants to bias the figures your way - doesn't the arguement hold then, that 94% didn't say they were happy?

Ohhh no you can't say that, that implying that the council are fiddling the stats, and we all know that they NEVER do that!!:hihi:

81% didn't say anything, so are we to assume they are content to let things stay as they are, or not? Or do we discount them altogether?

At the end of the day, the consultation is done, the results are presented to the decision makers and they decide. If the decision makers were unhappy with the survey methodology, they'd ask for it to be done differently.

Arguing whether a number should be viewed in light of respondees or overall households is pointless.

So how did they fiddle the stats? The results of all consultations are reported to the decision makers fully and openly.

The people who do the surveys and report the results aren't the ones who make the decisions. The decision makers are your elected representatives and if you don't like how consultation is carried out, you should tell them.

Errrr YES, in any vote, only the people that vote can be counted, just because they didn't respond does NOT mean that they are in favour, thats figure manipulation at best, and dishonest at worst!!!

In this case, where has anyone said that those who didn't respond were in favour?

Does asking a relevant question indicate unhappiness?

I like to see a balanced view presented.

As do we, not just bulldozed with stats, resident parking schemes are just money spinning schemes, they do NOT actually solve any car problems, and i would challenge you to show concrete evidence to us that shows it does help and why it helps
