PopT Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 I once read that 12 crusaders returned from the Holy Land were each allotted land by the king on thr request by the Grand Priore' in Clerkenwell to set up farms in the South Yorkshire area. Does anyone know their locations or any more details. I would love to hear comments or the history of these places. Come on all you local history buffs, let's be knowing. Happy Days!
