It's the old Robin hood chippy thats been taken over as Robin hoods have moved into the omega sauna building and are now called Frymaster.

yes mafya - thats the one - same building as the old robin hood shop - they have named it Tony's fish bar and cafe. The cafe and restaurant is not open the but if the takeaway is anything to go by - its going to be a great little place to go for nice food. I love their fishcakes. decent portions for fish and chips.

Off to try the UK's current #1 fish shop in Bridlington next Tuesday...

Will report back Wednesday...

My faith in F&C has been restored - this was quite simply the best fish and chips I have ever eaten .

Even better than the magpie cafe in Whitby....

Really clean and modern place , loads of staff training and other certificates lining one wall.

Fish is fried to order (they ask you when you walk in what you want).

Very fresh fish (they even have a little blackboard saying which boat the catch is off).

Thin and very crispy batter , well cooked chips and homemade mushy peas.

Served in their own printed cardboard boxes.

Well worth a trip. If only somewhere in Sheffield could match this quality.
