fishpie
Despite being in the darkside, the Riverside at Hillsbro' serves the best fish in Sheffield that I know. Nice batter and lovely white, tastey,"meaty" cod..haven't had chips, so can't comment, but their cod is consistently beautiful..Will try out some of the other suggestions, just in case my standards have slipped! Trinnersboy
Struggling to get decent chips consistently in this town. Been to Betty's (nice once horrible 2nd time), Devonshire (never again), Broomhill (most consistent but still have got bad batches) and another gluten free place off the Eccy road which was nice but I only went once. mossdog
I would like to know what type of fish they are selling that some purport to be Cod!.........it,s definately not the Cod I once knew,it.s too tough to be Cod. I went to a new chippie opened in Stannington recently and ordered Cod and Chips. The Chips portion was huge but i could not eat the fish which was supposedly Cod,far too tough. Somethings going on! Flanker7
Castle Market - I'm in a panic that the move to the Moor will effect the quality, that's if they go with the transfer?
