jemson
I prefer the fish at Woodseats chippy on the left past Blockbusters. For chips tho Abbey Friar at abbeydale. Superb. Not impressed with the Friar at Totley - expensive, stingy and raw chips.

beckysheffie
Two Steps - they have opened a shop just around the corner which has sustainable fish and everything is home made like the pies and also do meals like lasagna. Not sure how good they are though. Love it, but word of warning, never go past 9.30pm-ish because like all food shops they have had a busy day around dinner time so are in the process of finishing for the day so you get dregs. cocoagirls
There is a new chip shop in town called Green Steps. Owned by the same people as Two Steps, it specializes in Gluten-free batter and vegetarian options. It's just on Hickmott road just off (Ecclesall road). As a vegetarian myself it's great to have more choice, so give it a try.

nullify
Woodseats Fisheries gets another vote! Very reasonable price too, fish, chips and peas for £3.44 (iirc) when I went last week.
