scottf
Can the kids stay on half term permanently- its wonderful in the mornings, you can drive straight through town with hardly any jams!!!
gatecrasher3
It's so much better when the schools are closed.
BasilRathbon
If everyone with kids simply locked them in the cellar all day instead of driving them to school we could solve all Sheffield's traffic problems at a stroke!
Classic Rock
I think schools should start at 5am, so when we want to go to work, the roads will be quiet as the kids will already be there. Then if the kids finish at about 2.30pm, again the roads will be clear for when we finish at 5ish.

Ally_Fraser
Makes you wonder why the council is obsessed with penalising shoppers and workers when it's clearly the school run that causes the congestion in Sheffers.

rinty
This old chestnut again Since when have all the kids in school in Sheffield driven into the city centre to get to their school? The school run adds nothing to the rush hour queues - it only adds to local congestion around the school sites. The reason the traffic is quiet during the school holidays is that loads of parents take time off work and that's why the traffic lightens up. JIbbo
Its fantastic. I live in nether green and normally walk into work as it as fast as driving, when you have to fight the school run down fulwood road, with all the 4x4, bus's stopping randomly all over the place. This week however. 10 minutes flat into work driving. Fantastic.
