ReginaldD Posted November 14, 2007 Share Posted November 14, 2007 The free activity kicks off at 1.00pm with Shayne Ward switching on the lights, pantomime stars, a Christmas Market, and much more. There is something for the whole family to enjoy including appearances by Sarah Jane Honeywell, Lunar Jim, Postman Pat and the Teletubbies. X Factor winner Shayne Ward will be joined on stage by Strictly Come Dancing stars Darren and Lilia to push that all important plunger at 5pm. The stage will also have live performances from pantomime names Hayley Tamaddon from Emmerdale and local comedian Bobby Knutt, and all girl classical pop group All Angels. The Peace Gardens will stage street theatre performances from the Artizani Revolution Show at 2.15pm, 3.30pm. In addition, there will be Punch and Judy Shows, and popular children’s TV characters will be making appearances in the Gardens. The Winter Garden will host fun activities for young people run by the Sheffield Children’s Hospital and storytelling by local girl Holly Johnson who will be playing Cinderella in this year’s Sheffield Theatres’ panto. The Moor will also have a range of family entertainment with Santa, real reindeer, walk about entertainment and a live nativity. Members of the public will also be able to get the taste of the festive period with free mince pies. It is guaranteed to be a white Christmas on The Moor with snow machines and a giant snowman!
