Good places to eat

If you want to try another thai place, try the Siam Inter on London Road. It's completely over the top thai inside. However, this extends to the excellent warm service, the great authentic food and the wonderful presentation.

Alternatively, Nanos (the big Turkish place on the corner on London Road) is very good - cheap and cheerful. I'd even go so far as to say it's better than Zeugmas!

I also think Ayeshas on Ecclesall Road is very good for a curry. As is The Mogul Room on Sharrowvale Road - their Nile Indira (fish curry) is very good.

I like eating out in Sheffield - in case you couldn't tell!

Jabu on london road is really good fun and great food! fantastic fun!

its a dumpling and chinese style restaurant. You get dumplings first then you have a big pan and pick a selection from meat, veg, fish, a soup stock and dipping source. Its cooked right in front of you on the table. not expensive and bring your own booze. recomend booking. favorate at the moment!

wasabisabi on london rd is always good, expensive but worth it, if you go in the afternoon ( before 4 i think) including weekends you can have a set menu for about 12 quid.

i also really rate noodle king on eccelsall road, been a few times always good and i like sheiks lebonise restaurant on west st, just up from cavendish £7.50 starter and main mon- thurs before 7.30, cant go wrong!

Your missing a real home grown sheffield treat,

a hidden gem,

The Dam House on Mushroom Lane Crookes Valley Park.

Monday to thursday it's the £15 for 3 courses

.. the real treat is the Pan Fried Duck!

The menu is on the web site http://www.dam-house.com

p.s. If not have you tried another hidden gem, the restaurant at Napoleons Casino, or how about the Manor House in Dronfield?

La Gondola ( or is it El?) just off Division St is fantastic, small family run place with fantastic food, and it only costs about £20 for two including a couple of glasses of wine. You turn right on the corner where San Remo is, it's opposite Freshmans. Bloody lovely, the staff are friendly but don't bug you too much, and you can take your time, there's no rush to it at all. :)
