Do you need a passport to visit Southern Ireland (Eire)??

Recommended Posts

e're thinking of getting a cheap flight to Dublin as it's a place we've always wanted to visit and just seen a flight from Manchester for only £20!! Just done a quick search on net but can't find anything conclusive but it does have it's government so do you need a passport?

No, as thing stand, you don't need a passport but things are about to change in the future. You will need some I.D. so you'd best check what documentation is acceptable to the carrier. Look on the Aer Lingus site to see what they accept - one such item is a work pass with photograph.
