sooz22
You should be fine, we booked for August (not Sheffield) and when we called at 9am they had 40 people waiting outside who had preference over us! We were very lucky to get our date and time.

Kaye2812
We booked a registrar for our civil ceremony through the Chesterfield office and booked more than 2 years in advance... however... it was only a provisional booking and we had to confirm 12 months prior to our wedding date. Hope this helps.
sooz22
sooz22, when are you getting married? Leatherhead, decided it was easier to move me and H2B down South than 100 people up North!
charlotte_mc
Think ours was about £275, though it was for an 'enhanced ceremony' in Lincolnshire (a civil ceremony in a stately home). Plus costs of giving notice (£60) and the certificates (£3.50). I think it varies by county...
