mrsmills
I wasn't laughing, it was quite frightening. It's a relief that most of them don't actually hav children.
mojo1
When the mad woman with the scary fingernails was sat in the park reflecting on her 'baby', she said the only thing she would like is for the baby to react and be more like a baby... got me thinking about that film, A.I. The little boy was a robot/doll and didn't have a clue until he wasn't needed any more because their 'real' child came back to them. It creeps me out. Do you know, I was thinking exactly thae same thing!
Code13
I haven't watched this programme but my reaction on reading about it was that it is better that these women have their "needs" met by dolls than that they might somehow get hold of a real baby. beckelina
I thought the woman who made the dolls was very respectful of her clients, and despite her acknowledging that the dolls may in some way be 'children' to her she did seem quite down to earth. And I laughed my head off at the shots of her kids mucking around with the freaky dismembered dolls limbs! Looked like a great game...

How do you do them? Do you get an ordinary baby doll and then melt it to look that way? I can't figure out how that bit's done! I can see how they're made to look 'real' by painting them and I've seen hair being rooted on doll's heads many a time, but it's the 'moulding' bit that puzzles me? Also do you ever do proper big babies, or do people all go for the tiny ones like premature babies, because it's odd that they all look like the tiny, really wrinkly babies you see.
