I'm just about to start Transition by Iain Banks

Just finished One Day by David Nicholls. A great book, it traces the relationship between two people through twenty years. Very funny but also extremely sad.

Thank you taxman. I used to read a lot more but now I tend to spend my evenings on SF so at bedtime I like to read something easy to get on with so that my brain can slow down before I fall asleep.

I'm about a quarter of the way through 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas. I've never seen any of the movie adaptations (Thankfully!)

.....which is really good but with it's alternate realities, travel between worlds and sinister ruling council sending assassins between worlds to change history, it could have been written by Iain M.
