Plain Talker
Did you enjoy it? In my view, it's the best of the trilogy. Its original title in Swedish (as well as the French translated version) is Men Who Hate Women, which contextualises the stats that appear at periodic intervals throughout the novel. Yes. In "Tattoo" the subject matter, and the statistics interspersed in the chapter breaks were hard (violence against women). from what I have read so far of "fire" it's just as hard hitting. Salander's background is coming out more, and it's hard reading,

iamthewalrus
I am currently reading 'First Family' by David Baldacci, then will start 'The Ghost' by Robert Harris. I have also been reading as many of Lee Child's books as I can lay my hands on, only found him recently but love the storylines.

taxman
Surface Detail - Iain M Banks, as good as expected I wish I'd had pre-ordered it for half price from Waterstones. I went in a couple of days ago and it was only reduced by a fiver, I was still tempted though. Maybe someone will buy it me for my upcoming birthday
metalman
Death in high heels, by Christianna Brand. Her first detective story, set in a high class London dress shop where someone is poisoned with oxalic acid. Another good read.
