Suffragette1
i'm happy to have the new Karin Slaughter to crack on with Oh my god, discodown, we may actually have something in common here! Is it any good? It's on the enornmous pile next to my bed of books yet to read. Only the pile never goes down, it in fact keeps growing cos I have an addiction to Amazon and '3 for 2' at Waterstones. No spoilers please!

taxman
Just finished Savage Garden and very enjoyable it was too. I am just about to start The Book Thief by Markus Zusak Just finished The Book Thief. A beautiful book but harrowing and heartbreaking.
taxman
Just started The Knocker on Death's Door by Ellis Peters. I needed something light and not too deep after the last one
taxman
Finished the Ellis Peters...it was OK, I figured out who had done it by the end, and I've now started Death and the Professor by E & M.A. Radford which is a mindless bit of tat I picked up from the book trolley at work and is good for reading with a glass of wine when it really isn't important if you keep up with the "plot" or not
taxman
Finished that mindless bit of tat and am now desperately needing something good - I'm going to start The President's Last Love by Andrey Kurkov
Suffragette1
I'm part way through Family Matters by Rohinton Mistry, but have got to crack on with Cormac MacCarthy's The Road and Cloud Atlas for 2 book groups I'm in that meet in just over 2 weeks. Gave up on The Road, too depressing and just relentless. Strugling with Cloud Atlas cannot get beyond Chapter 1. Emperor's new clothes syndrome perhaps?
